Tuesday 4/11

Goal: the students will be able to use different tenses of the verbs given in each sentence

How will I instruct?


TTW have the students take out their ELA packet pg 7 rewriting part 1
TTW read the directions to the students and provide them with an example.
TTW then ask for a volunteer to start the rotation and then each student will receive a turn to
answer the following questions
TTW have the students tell me if the sentence is happening in the past or present
TTW then have the students write the appropriate tense on the first line given
TTW then explain the the students have to write the sentence in the future tense ( putting will in
front of the verb)
TTW writes the response on the board and provides adequate wait time for the other students.
TTW allow the students to have free time once finished
TTW complete the sam packet with 5th grade
TTW work with both reading groups introducing their new story
TTW use the manual to help the students answer the questions for that specific lesson
TTW then play CNN10 after the reading activities are completed

TTW have the students take out their ELA pg 8 converting present and past tense verbs
TTW read the directions to the students and provide them with an example.
TTW then ask for a volunteer to start the rotation and then each student will receive a turn to
answer the following questions
TTW has the student Read the sentences and determine whether it is happening in the past or
in the present.
TTW then ask the student how we could make the past verb present or the present verb past
and rewrite the sentence
TTW writes the response on the board and provides adequate wait time for the other students.
TTW allow the students to have free time once finished
TTW complete the same packet with 5th grade
TTW work with both reading groups in their workbooks
TTW use the manual to help the students answer the questions for that specific lesson
TTW then play CNN10 after the reading activities are completed

Thursday 4/13
Goal: the students will be able to use different tenses of the verbs given in each sentence

How will I instruct?


TTW have the students take out their ELA packet pg 9 present to past tense verbs
TTW read the directions to the students and provide them with an example.
TTW then ask for a volunteer to start the rotation and then each student will receive a turn to
answer the following questions
TTW have the student read the sentence and change the present tense verbs to past tense and
the past tense verbs to present tense
TTW writes the response on the board and provides adequate wait time for the other students.
TTW allow the students to have free time once finished
TTW complete the sam packet with 5th grade
TTW work with both reading groups on a new story
TTW use the manual to help the students answer the questions for that specific lesson
TTW then play CNN10 after the reading activities are completed

Friday 4/14

TTW read the directions to the students and provide them with an example.
TTW then ask for a volunteer to start the rotation and then each student will receive a turn to
answer the following questions
TTW have the student read the sentence and determine whether the senses is happening in the
past present or future
TTW writes the response on the board and provides adequate wait time for the other students.
TTW allow the students to have free time once finished
TTW complete the sam packet with 5th grade
TTW work with both reading groups in their workbooks
TTW use the manual to help the students answer the questions for that specific lesson
TTW then play CNN10 after the reading activities are completed
