A- International days:
1- International Day of Charity

Time plan:

International Translation Day

★ Teachers have to give students a quick introduction or background about the international day. (5 to
7 minutes)
★ Students have to send their videos within the deadline.
★ Students are going to do the tasks as homework.
★ On “International Translation Day” students will be asked to translate a part of a movie. (The
Academy will assign the movie and teachers are asked to send them to the students)
★ On the “International Day of Sign Languages” students should talk about the topic and also learn
some sign languages and introduce them in their videos.

Steps

1. Teachers will present the videos on the screens during the class.

2. Students will listen and try to fill in the gaps.

3. Answer any questions about vocabulary, perhaps after giving

students a chance to use dictionaries on their own.

4. Point out any idioms that students haven't asked about and that you

think they might not be picking up on.


5. Highlight or ask questions about grammar in the clips that are

relevant to what you have been working on or that is interesting in its

own right.

6. Highlight or ask questions about any incorrect grammar or informal

language in the clips.


C- Listening

Students will receive short movies/cartoons. They will be asked to write

down the script of the movie/cartoon.

Teachers have to follow the following:

1. Teachers have to send the movie/cartoon assigned by the academy to

the students as homework at the beginning of the month and the

deadline will be on the 29th of September.

2. Teachers will ask the students to write down any unfamiliar words or

idioms and also to search for their meanings to be discussed in the

7th session. (7 to 10 minutes)

D- Competition
We decided to break the ice and announce a cooking competition among the students. We’ll
announce 3 winners from all the Academy classes.
The deadline for this competition is September 30. We will announce the winners on our social
media page and groups. Encourage the students as much as you can TEACHERS!

★ Students have to record a video cooking something while presenting the


recipe and steps in the video.
E- Reading
A newly added homework for this month. Reading worksheets to improve

their reading and writing skills. (Teachers will receive those worksheets

from the Academy and they are asked to send them to the students during

the month).

Teachers are asked to send the reading sheets in the following lessons:

1- Lesson (3)

2- Lessons (5 and 6 )

F- Homework (Free month)


Teachers are not going to follow the homework in the Handout during this

month.

Teachers are asked to assign the homework for students on their own.
