Mechanics and Guidelines
1. Choose a theme: Choose a theme for your exhibition or gallery that reflects the
artwork or creative projects of your group.
2. Create a production team: Gather a group of students who are interested in
curating an exhibition or gallery. Assign roles and responsibilities, such as
curator, designer, writer, and event planner.
3. Display all your outputs.
4. Plan the layout and design: Plan the layout and design of the exhibition or gallery
space. Consider factors such as lighting, spacing, and placement of artwork.
5. Write artist statements and labels: Write artist statements and labels for each
artwork or creative project. These should provide context and background
information, as well as a description of the work.
6. Participation of all members is a MUST.
Guidelines:
1. The exhibition or gallery should have a clear and coherent theme that is reflected
in the selected artwork or creative projects.
2. The artwork or creative projects should be of high quality and demonstrate
creativity and technical skill.
3. The layout and design of the exhibition or gallery space should be visually
engaging and enhance the viewing experience.
4. The artist statements and labels should provide context and background
information that enhances the understanding and appreciation of the artwork or
creative projects.
Criteria:
1. Theme (25%): Does the exhibition or gallery have a clear and coherent theme
that is reflected in the selected artwork or creative projects?
2. Artistic Quality (25%): Are the selected artwork or creative projects of high quality
and demonstrate creativity and technical skill?
3. Design and Layout (20%): Is the layout and design of the exhibition or gallery
visually engaging and enhance the viewing experience?
4. Artist Statements and Labels (20%): Do the artist statements and labels provide
context and background information that enhances the understanding and
appreciation of the artwork or creative projects?
5. Event Execution (10%): Was the opening reception or event well-planned and
executed, providing a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for attendees?
