Definition of the simple present tense

Simple present tense is a tense that is used to talk about something that happen in present time, something
that always happens repeatedly, or a general truth.

Formula
The simple present tense has two formulas. The first is called verbal and is used when there is a verb, while
the second is called nominal and is used when there is no verb in the sentence. Instead, be (am, is, are)
needs to be added to this second formula.

She, He, It, Singular Subject + Verb 1 (s/es) She eats banana with chocolate milk

(-) I, You, They, We, Plural Subject + do not+ Verb 1 I do not play football

She, He, It, Singular Subject + does not+ Verb 1 He does not clean his room

(?) Do + I, You, They, We, Plural Subject+ Verb 1? Do you eat pork?

Does + She, He, It, Singular Subject + Verb 1? Does she go to the hospital?
