Dear Kayviliya Pheobee,

How are you doing? I hope you’re in the pink of health. I’m writing to you to inform you
about my family tradition.

Family gathering is my unique family tradition that we’re carried on to this day. The
family meal has always been a special time for families. It’s known to give families a sense of
belonging and togetherness. I’m not sure about its origin but family gathering always been
planned every time we celebrated Gawai or Christmas Day. Our family gathering is something
that enhancing family involvement and strengthening family bonds.

Family gathering don’t have to be formal, fancy or cost money. They don’t even have to
revolve around the holidays because you can share in a family tradition any day or time of the
year. For instant, my family enjoys cooking or baking together to prepare for this gathering. This
tradition is very important to my family because it builds family bonding.

Having family gatherings will let our children to spend quality time with their relatives
and at the same time, provide them with good examples around them. It is nice to look forward
to time with family and participate in ongoing family traditions. In recent years, my family has
added time to make video calls with our relatives who may not have been able to join in during
the gatherings. In order to continue this tradition, I will add in fun activities such as baking pies
or make desserts with my family. A good time with much laughter is always had.

That’s all for now. Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Plonia.
