Hello! My name is Max Rutledge. I am student teaching in your student’s classroom this spring with Mrs.

McCormick. Currently, I am a senior Music Education Major at Loras College, and student teaching is the
last step to completing my degree! After college, I plan on staying in the Dubuque area for a few years
to teach vocal music. I have a passion for teaching and performing music. I love to see those around me
grow in their musical abilities, and I can’t wait to work with your students to further develop their
talents.

I am originally from Waverly, IA, where I was heavily involved in music, drama, and sports. I graduated
from Waverly Shell-Rock High School in 2019, after which, I found myself at Loras College. In my free
time, I love to watch movies, go hiking, and spend time with my dogs.

I am confident that this spring will be filled with making music and lots of learning, and I am so excited
for what the following weeks have in store!
