Should Martial Arts Be Taught in High

Schools?
Bruce Lee was an Actor in films and movies like The Lost Interview, The Big Boss, and

A Warriors Journey. He died on July 20, 1973 in Kowloon Tong, Hong Tong. He performed as a

fighter in most of the movies he played in and was the main character or side main character.

He was able to influence a lot of people in the U.S. and people have learned it from him

or seen a demonstration and wished they could be a part of it. Not just individuals got inspired by

this man but organizations and schools. One of the main ones is a school named Wasatch

Academy. This is an example of him using the Big Ideas of having purpose for writing. It's not

necessarily for writing but he had a purpose for coming to the U.S. to be in films about martial

arts and to show off his culture to us Americans.

Now, even though Bruce Lee didn’t necessarily purposely create martial arts in America

he sparked the flames in others to have the same compassion and desire to learn it like he did. So

going back to Wasatch Academy then they also have their own martial arts studio and different

classes that people can take for martial arts. But there is a slight problem that people have a hard

time joining martial arts for. This problem is that they believe that martial arts are dangerous and

that people can get hurt. Yes, it's true that this could happen but it also happens in almost any

other hands on sport such as football, basketball, even soccer.

But just like those other sports, martial arts does not have to be dangerous and it actually

is designed to be really safe for those participating and those that are the guinea pigs to test on.

Wasatch explains this really well and you can tell that they know what they are talking about

because they are a legit school. They have power in martial arts in high schools because they

teach a highschool and by making web pages like the one they created then they can gather fans

and people that change their mind on martial arts because of reading the article that they posted.
Not only do they say this but they also can prove and show that it's legit. Wasatch has

been making more pages on martial arts and how they encourage individuals to try out their

program and see and test the experience of martial arts. They believe that it would be a great

experience for anybody. Again because they are a school then they have reviews and have proof

that they have a good martial arts program.

Martial arts improve everyone as an individual and it helps you become healthier because

you are working all your body out every day and it doesn't stop there. You can have teams that

help you grow as a person physically and mentally. The environment is safe and everyone

respects each other because that is one of the main fundamentals of martial arts is respect.

Prideful behavior is not allowed in martial arts because everyone is learning and different people

learn differently

There are multiple accounts from people who have had their lives change for the better

because of martial arts. Like some people had goals and dreams but they didn't know how to

accomplish them. After attending martial arts then their mind became clear and they were able to

focus on their projects and goals and dreams. These are just some of the small benefits that

Wasatch can explain. And because Wasatch has a long history of being founded then they are

able to have the proof of all their claims.
