(GAD) GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2022

At the onset of the pandemic, Gender and Development Committee had limited mobility due to
protocols that has to be abided and fear of virus exposure. Currently, spreading of disease was
reduced due to government interventions urging everyone to be vaccinated and observance of
health measures. Now that we had adapted to the new normal, programs and activities are gradually
restored.

We reviewed the plans and programs for the year 2022, set the priorities on the doable one.
Profiling of members for the livelihood training program that is most appropriate for the both men
and women. Then organize a training/seminar for members and non-members in collaboration with
the Technical Education Skills and Development (TESDA). Its main objective is to have sustainable
income and food security for every family. The trainer demonstrated the techniques of urban
gardening, organic fertilizer making, dishwashing and fabric conditioner making. It was attended by
10 males and 43 females in two days session.

During anniversary month we had the Health Awareness Program for members and non-members in
cooperation with the Rotary Club of Metro Valenzuela. They availed Free Medical and Eye Up, free
medicines/vitamins and reading glasses. Zumba fitness to improve one’s health, free massage,
manicure/pedicure, spa and haircut for men and women.

In the linkages of other activities; we join the celebration of the feast of Our Lady of the National
Shrine of Fatima, Cooperative month, Christmas activities of the federation and Valenzuela
Cooperative Development Council.

To deepen our Christian values, GAD Focal person organized “Vista Patrona” program. The pilgrim
image of Our Lady of Fatima is being brought to member’s residence upon request and stays for a
week in order to spread the message of Our Lady of Fatima and promote the First Saturday
Devotion.

All this activities were made possible because of the collegial support of the officers and
management. In our 21st year anniversary, “Ipagpatuloy ang Matagumpay na Pagkakaisa’t
Pagtutulungan Habang may Pandemya”.

Report Stewardship and Collection Committee

The Stewardship and Collection Committee with the support of the officers and management of the

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

1. Regularly coordinated with the Loan Officer the list of members with delinquent payments
2. Regular delivery of reminder letters/demand letter to delinquent members.
3. Discussed with members with delinquencies on how to update their payments i.e., making
partial payments, re-structuring their payments plan. We made them feel that despite of the
pandemic, we are continuously understanding them, giving them positive outlook and that
sooner, after this pandemic all will be fine.
4. Patiently going after for those members that were relocated due to pandemic.
5. Maintain an individual monitoring record per account for tracking/ follow-up and reporting
purposes.
6. Submitted regular reports on the status of collections
7. Once all efforts have been made to assist to delinquent members and no response has been
done, we recommended them to the management for proper action.

OTHER COOPERATIVE ACTIVITIES/ LINKAGES TO PARISH:

Joined in the various activities of the cooperative and parish activities:

- Regular Committee meetings.

- FAVMPCO Evaluation and Strategic Planning.
- Outreach Programs-giving of “ayuda” to the less fortunate members of the cooperative and
parishioners.
- Supported the parish activities like novenas, fiesta activities, liturgical celeberations and
clean up days.
- Supported FAVMPCO in all the activities and seminars (General Assembly, Anniversary,
Medical Missions and TESDA Seminars. Attended seminars on Good Governance and
Financial Risk Management).

The committee would like emphasize that during the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-
2022), collection of overdue remittances of members who loaned became challenging. Loss of jobs
that eventually caused many members dwindling financial capacity was the primary reason for the
said difficulty. The Committee, nonetheless, consistently reminded the members of their loan
obligations. Such efforts, consequently, created a significant improvement in the collection of loan
payments from the third quarter of 2022 up to the present time.

Currently, the committee hopes to gradually collect the overdue payments from the members, as
the global recovery period of the pandemic is underway.
