Training system for

AC motor drive

The system is equipped with all the necessary components for learning basic knowledge
in the field of electric AC motor drive, using classical circuit diagrams (with relays,
switches and buttons) and modern techniques based on static frequency converter.

Includes:
- Siemens low-voltage squirrel cage motor;
- Frequency converter panel, with Siemens MicroMaster 420;
- Power supply panel including protection elements (general
circuit-breaker, motor circuit breakers, residual current circuit
breaker);
- Motor control panel including both power equipment (3-phase
contactor) and control equipment (time relay, pushbuttons, key
switches, mushroom pushbutton).

 The main objectives of the training:
- Use classic and modern electronic drive elements in various control scenarios;
- Setting up electrical connections for power and control circuits required for motor
drive in different working scenarios;
- Learning basic knowledge in frequency converter parametrization field;

- Testing the application, errors interpretation, debugging;
- Knowing the advantages and disadvantages of diagrams implemented;
- Comparison of the different methods used.
