-We are all born as empty vessels which can be shaped by moral values" means that when we
are born, we are not yet fully formed or developed as individuals. We are like blank slates, with
the potential to become whatever we want to be, but we need guidance and direction to help us
grow and develop into the people we want to be. This guidance and direction comes from the
moral values that we learn and adopt throughout our lives. These values shape our thoughts,
actions, and behaviors, and help us to become good and virtuous people. In this way, our moral
values are like the clay that shapes and molds us into the people we are meant to be.

2. Pre-Competency
How do you define values ?

I refer to the guiding principles, beliefs, or standards that drive an individual's or a group's
behavior and decision-making. Values are crucial because they shape our priorities, offer a
sense of direction, and influence how we interact with others.

Values can be unique to each individual or shared by a community or organization. Examples of

values include honesty, integrity, compassion, loyalty, responsibility, respect, and teamwork. By
understanding and aligning with one's values, a person can create a more meaningful and
fulfilling life while contributing positively to their relationships and the broader community.
