CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

Actually, running a bakery is no longer a new idea for business. But as of right now,
it still appears to have a promising future. The baking industry offers a lot of advantages.
We can observe that there are currently a lot of bakeries operating all over the world,
selling a variety of products under various trademark names. Only the quality of each
item offered by a bakery shop that provides a variety of bakery products sets these
companies apart from one another. For those with a willingness to take risks, strength,
patience, business strategy, and creativity, this business potential is fantastic and
beneficial.
A range of breads, both wet and dry, are offered by New Selera Bakery and are basic
items at Selera Baru Bakery. More than 50 people work for Didin Wahyudin, the owner
of a baking business. This company continues to grow because its products outperform
those of its rivals in terms of both quality and durability. Only the family owns the recipe
to keep it from being stolen or misused, which helps to maintain the quality of taste in
all of its products.

CHAPTER II
DISCUSSION

2.1 A brief History

The Selera Baru Bakery is a business that produces delicious and tasty breads
for customers of all ages near the village of Purwasari, therefore earning the name
"bread area" for the area where it is located. Since this bakery opened its doors for
the first time in 1991, this idea has been quite successful. The owner has worked in
the baking industry since he was just a kid, helping his parents, and the bakery began
operations in 1991 after the owner had his high school diploma
Selera Baru Bakery's concept is particularly unique since it can continuously
deliver excellent products like a selection of breads served in traditional markets
nearby.

2.2 Organizational Structure

The owner, Mr. Didin Wahyudin, built this business as the heir to his parent's
business, which was passed down through the family.

2.4 Production Aspects
Demand-related aspects have an impact on production. Buyers typically submit
orders to resell
2.4.1 Production Obstacle
The problem comes from HR; for example, it can be tough to adapt to a new
place when the background contains people who were never used to
working. Some staff work hard, some are unmotivated, and some decide to
leave their jobs quickly. The corporation will maintain the same price but
reduce the gram if the price of raw materials goes up; for example, the raw
material normally ranges from 40 to 30g.
2.4.2 Production Targets
The amount of beginning mix or basic components produced determines how
much bread will be produced; if there is less beginning mix, there will be less
bread produced. Production today is different from previous times, which
means it depends on distributor orders; nevertheless, small orders will be
approved. In order to avoid wasting the basic components and decreasing the
availability of resources, avoid producing a large number of supplies.

2.5 Company products

The Selera Baru bakery offers a variety of products, namely fried bread, plain bread,
and combed bread.

2.7 SWOT Analysis

No. Question Subject Answers

1. S = Strength Selera Baru has an outstanding taste by using
high-grade recipe ingredients rather than just
any product, which results in a good product
value. Additionally, there are more flavor
variations of the bread compared with
competitor brands, as well as better product
durability.
2. W = Weakness Because Selera Baru Bakery's products are
traditional cuisine, it is quite challenging for
them to get into the world of digital marketing.
Therefore, advertising or distribution should be
limited to recognizable markets or customer
promotion through word-of-mouth.
The problem comes from HR; for example, it
can be tough to adapt to a new place when the
background contains people who were never
used to working. Some staff work hard, some
are unmotivated, and some decide to leave their
jobs quickly.
3. O = Opportunity Customers that frequently purchase bread from
Selera Baru Bakery Additionally, businesses
continue to innovate by offering variants in
terms of flavor, shape, or other qualities in order
to remain competitive.
4. T = Threatness There are ups and downs in the pricing of the
basic ingredients. In addition, financial factors
may decline, such as the purchasing capacity of
individuals.

CHAPTER III
CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

3.1 Conclusion
Set up in 1991, Selera Baru Bakery is a bakery in the village of Purwasari. After
graduating from high school, the bakery plant was officially established in 1991,
although the owner has been involved in the bakery industry since he was just a kid
helping his parents.
The Selera Baru Bakery Company is a company that bakes and markets a variety of
breads. Depending on the scale of operations and the efficiency of the production
process, this industry can grow to be quite large and valuable.

3.2 Suggestion
Companies need an effective marketing strategy that can attract customers and keep
them as loyal consumers if they want to succeed in business. In order to keep clients and
build a strong track record, product quality and customer service are also vital.
To guarantee optimal efficiency and profitability, bakeries must also take into
consideration factors like materials costs, manufacturing facilities, inventory
management, and distribution costs.
Overall, as the population grows and lifestyles change, the bakery business has the
potential to be successful. However, for bakery businesses that wish to continue to be
successful, intense competition and changes in customer tastes can also be challenges
as well.
