Meeting Proper:
Sir Abel D. Manzana presented a PowerPoint presentation about the implementation plan, guidelines,
memorandum, etc. SIP Coordinator, Mrs. Maribel L. Reyes also gives her vision of the ideal school of
Palingowak Elementary School through her sharing of ideas. The pupil’s representative, Ms. Christine Joy
A. Aguila, elaborated on the best place to study and learn such as having a school field to play, a big
library, wearing of complete uniform, and a bullying-free school. Mrs. Marylin P. Mendoza also shared her
ideal school. She has a child-friendly environment, updates teachers to training and seminars, a new 1:1
ratio classroom for each teacher, a clinic room, a faculty room for teachers, widened comfort room, and an
additional separate comfort room for pupils. The parent’s representative ideal school was the same as stated
above. Kgg. Victoria A. Samadan reiterated her ideal school as a school of quality education, a child-
friendly school, an eco-friendly school, and gender equality for all. She also shared that she was one of the
products of Palingowak Elementary School where her leadership skills and character were nurtured. Mrs.
Paraluman C. Maulion, as a Guidance Teacher shared her ideal school as having cubicles in the Guidance
Office and a Lost and Found divider, too. Sir Abel D. Manzana presented the Vision and Mission of
DEPED.
Sir Abel D. Manzana reiterated the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders, the SIP Team Leaders and
pupils, and Parent Representative as they need to work all together to achieve a common goal of improving
the school. School Head, Team Leader, Teacher Representative, Parent Representative, Brgy & LGU
Representative, Member of BDRRMC, Member of School Child Protection Committee, and School
Governing Council (SGC Representative).
The SPT prioritized the improvement areas in accordance with the findings of the discussion conducted in
the preceding activity. SIP Coordinator. Mrs. Chona C. Rectin presented the three (3) classified
improvement areas and the level of their strategic importance, urgency, magnitude, and feasibility.
The School Head and the School Planning Team rated the most priority areas to be improved in school and
using the 5 criteria they rated them. Finally, the most areas that need to be prioritized were identified by the
team. The List of Priority Improvement Areas (PIAs) as a result of the 5-point scale ranking are as follows:
Quality
• Low literacy rate
• Low numeracy rate
Resiliency and Well-Being
• Lack of necessary materials needed in times of emergencies and occurrence of natural disasters.
