Reaction Paper about Research Gala GabFest

I would like to congratulate CDSGA on the 30 th foundation anniversary and the 2nd CDSGA
Research Gala GabFest: Gabrielian Festival on April 20-22, 2023. It’s such an honor to be part of that event.
I gain a lot of ideas from different speakers and performers. This event taught me about health status,
student needs, teachers’ struggles, technology impact, professionalism, history, and environmental
condition. They show us their research and explain the significance of their study that will help their fellow
student to be aware of different aspects of learning. Each group of researchers had to explain their study
and also to prove its credible content. Health status is the most important topic that we had to talk about,
from their explanation we had to take care of ourselves for avoiding the bad effects of a different bad
habit. The other topic is the student’s needs. There are a lot of learners has lack materials that will use in
studying and can’t afford to buy each, especially the modern technologies. Although they are having a
hard time keeping up with the current situation, authorities dealing to have consideration for some
students to avoid others will be left behind. Also, they tackle teachers’ struggles. There are a lot of
problems that face some teachers. Government must take education to be broad and evolving for the
future generation. Technology’s impact has a good and bad effect on everyone, especially students. Some
students couldn’t afford to buy gadgets to be used in studying but some students are wasting their time on
social media and online gaming. Parental supervision is the most important to control every student to
keep the focus on their study. Those people who are spending their time more on none important things
must keep prioritizing their improvements to being an individual that has the motivation to help
themselves and others. They also explain to us the importance of professionalism and its importance. I
learned also about the history of our cultural dance. Ethnic dances are part of the culture, the part of
Mindanao is rich in culture and traditions that even dances have different meanings. The other topic is
Environmental conditions, our surroundings became polluted because of chemicals and some people
haven’t proper waste disposal. There’s a possibility that we may encounter calamity if we continue the
improper doing in our waste. There are some of my understandings regarding the different content of the
event. I hope I am not the only one who gains some ideas from those research presentations. All in the
entire whole program is worth watching, I will share with others what I have learned and I will keep it all in
my mind to be used in my future acquaintance.
