STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEMS

In recent years, concerns about mental health difficulties among college students have grown, having
an impact on both their academic performance and general wellbeing. Despite the fact that there are
many treatments accessible, alternative therapies like music therapy have drawn attention in the world
of mental health. The usefulness of music listening as a supplementary therapy for mental health among
second-year college students at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo, however, is not well documented
in the literature.

Consequently, the goal of this study is to find out whether music listening has any positive effects on
mental health among second-year college students at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo. In
particular, this study seeks to provide answers to the following questions:

1. What characteristics—including age, gender, and level of mental health—do second-year college
students at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo have?

2. What impact does music listening have on second-year college students at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng
San Pablo's mental health?

3. What do Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo second-year college students think about using music
as an alternative form of mental health treatment?

This study seeks to shed light on these issues in order to better comprehend how well second-year
college students at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo use music as an alternative kind of therapy for
their mental health.
