Go to an online art gallery and choose an artwork that you like and create a critique of the
said piece. Make sure to take a picture of the said artwork and get the important information
about the work such as the artist, medium or media used, and when it was created. Try to see if
the piece is part of a collection and give insights on how the artist expressed the art.

In this painting, the strokes are delicate. The artist used Watercolor as the medium for
this painting. There is a hint of realism throughout the painting, and the colors are very nice to
the eyes. According to the artist, this is about moving on and giving hope, which can be
interpreted in the title “New Beginning”. I think you can clearly see what the artist is trying to
convey in this painting.

1. What are the most popular venues for performing arts in your community?
In our community, the most popular venues for performing arts are the Albay Astrodome and
Ibalong Centrum for Recreation.

2. What are some plays, dances, or concerts staged in the said venue?
A concert of the popular P-pop group SB19 was staged at Albay Astrodome. In Ibalong
Centrum for Recreation (ICR), Ibalong the musical was staged.

3. What are the most popular performing art organizations in your community?
Some of the most popular performing art organizations here in our community are: Sining
Banwa, and Bicol University Performing Arts Group.

4. Choose one of the plays, dances, or concerts you have watched and create a
critique/review on the said performance.
One of the plays that I have watched was the Ibalong the musical. Ibalong is a folk epic of
Bicol. In my opinion, their performance was good. The flow of the story can be followed
easily. The costumes used by the actors was also pleasing to the eyes. As the performance was
a musical, the dances and fight scenes were complementing the music used, which gave more
life to the performance.
