1 In   the   figure,   PQ   is  a  tangent   at  a  point  C  to  a  circle   with   center  O.  

If   AB   is  a  diameter   and  ∠ CAB   =  30°,   find  ∠ PCA.

8 In   the   figure,   AB   is  a  diameter   of  a  circle   with   centre  O  and   AT   is  a  tangent.   If  ∠ AOQ   =  58°,   find  ∠ ATQ.

about  a  circle,   as   shown   in   the   given   figure.   Prove   that   the   base  

is   bisected   by   the   point   of   contact.

10 From the figure, ZM and ZN are tangents from Z to the circle with centre O . R is a point on the circle . Prove that ZX + XO= ZY + YO

11 Prove that the segment joining the points of contact of two parallel tangents passes through the centre.

12Two   tangent   segments   PA   and   PB   are   drawn   to  a  circle   with  O  such
that  ∠ APB   =  120°. Prove   that   OP   =  2 AP.

13  In the figure, PA and PB are tangents from an external point P to a circle with centre O.LN touches the circle at M. Prove that PL + LM = PN + MN.
 

14In the figure, two circles touch each other at the point C. Prove that the common tangent to the circles at C, bisects the common tangent at  X and Y.

f   contact  T,   are   of   lengths  14  cm   and  16  cm   respectively. If   areas   of  

∆ PQR   is  336  cm 2
,   find   the   sides   PQ   and   PR.

24Prove   that   the   tangent   drawn   at   the   midpoint   of


an   arc   of  a  circle   is   parallel   to   the   chord   joining

the   end   points   of   the   arc.

25A  circle   inscribed   in  a  ∆ ABC   having   side  8  cm,  10  cm   and  12  cm   as
shown   in   the   figure  .   Find    AD,   BE   and   CF.
