Question 1: The picture below depicts a construction site to lay pipelines for a LNG project. The ditches are to be dug
in order to put pipeline under the ground in some areas, while in other areas, the pipelines will run on the surface.
Bushes need to be cleared as well. In some areas, the pipelines will run through powerline poles, near homes and
main roads. You will need all the necessary tools and machines like welding, excavators, dump trucks, cutters,
grinders, nuts, bolts, etc.

You are the supervisor of the project. There are many works to do to commission this project successfully. Develop a
JSA in each of the following work:

• Mobilization work,
• Clearing bushes,
• Digging ditches,
• Welding/joining pipes,
• laying pipes,
• Commissioning work,

Things to remember:

• Job steps in each work mentioned above;

• Hazards in each job step for every work above;
• Each Hazard control procedures, including elimination, substitution and minimization.
• Analyze the risk associated with the hazards and rate them between 1 to 25.
• How soon the risks can be addressed.
