Three-step interview
Subject: Science
Learning goal or purpose: Allow students to interact with peers and learn from their
perspectives and experiences. they promote active listening and speaking skills as students
ask and answer questions, paraphrase and clarify information, and express their opinions and
feelings. They encourage higher-order thinking skills since students have to analyze and
evaluate information.
Class Activity
● Second, the instructor poses a question about a scientific method. He gives the
students time to think about the question.
● Third, One of the students (student A) interviews the other student (student B) to find
out their ideas on the question given by the teacher.
● Fourth, now student B is in charge of interviewing student A to also know his ideas
about the question.
● Fifth, in this step both students share the information collected from both interviews
about the ideas they understood from their peers and what they learned from them.
