Content-Based Instruction

1. Briefly begins by talking to students about the importance of water:

Water, is that transparent liquid that we all need and that is one of the most essential
resources for humanity, but unfortunately, it is a finite resource and over time it can
run out if we do not take proper care of it. Without water we could not live, that is
why we need to become aware of its importance in the development of our life and
direct more efforts to take care of it. The saving of water by each one of us is
fundamental since the waste that individual makes is very high.

2. Ask the students to form groups of 5 maximum 6 people.


● Then on a blank piece of paper ask students to answer the following questions:
● Why do you think water is so important to human beings?
● Why do you think it is necessary to save water?
● Think of several ways in which you use water in your life and write them
below.
● Think of several ways you can save water and write them down below.
3. After answering the questions, one of the students from each group will share their
group’s ideas with the class.
4. Now ask the groups to go to the back of the page and tell them that they are going to
make a poster. This poster needs a slogan and 1 drawing, you can also add some of
your ideas from the questions asked above.
5. After finishing the poster, one person from each group will present it briefly.
