FRONT OFFICE

The front desk, which interacts directly with visitors, is a crucial aspect of the hotel. Reservation,
guest service, check-in, check-out, telephone, finance & cashiering, foreign exchange, room assignment,
inquiry, etc. are some of this department's primary responsibilities. The hub of a hotel is sometimes
referred to as the front desk. It is a front of the housing department that is situated near the foyer and
lobby of a lodging establishment. They are collectively referred to as "Front Office" since they are
situated close to the hotel lobby and are open to guests, clients, and outsiders. The Front Office
organizes guest services, creates and maintains a comprehensive database of guest information, and
makes sure that guests are happy.

We found the seminar we attended to be of great use to our work in hospitality management.
Ma'am Maria Contesa Catuaan talked about everything we needed to know about the front desk
department. As she went through each topic one at a time, she made it clear how difficult it is to work at
the front desk or office. She then provided us with information so that we could understand how to deal
with each guest. She began by outlining the current Front Office operations trends and how the service
will eventually win our hearts. She explained every aspect of the department's operations, really
educating us on the subject.

Overall, Ma'am Catuaan taught us a lot about what we needed to know and how to accomplish it. As
a prospective front desk, I learned a lot from her and now know how to operate as the company's or
hotel's main focal point. Being a part of the hotel as a worker is not easy; according to our guest
speaker, she encountered many people with a negative attitude, but as she persevered, she patiently
did all that she could to become a better worker. As a result, now that I am a student, I truly understand
how difficult it is to hold that position, but as we have reached our goals, we have failed. It's okay, but I'll
try my best.
