Hello Ana,
Your week has been well. You went to take to the ‘mechanic’ for the yearly check-up. You
accompanied your daughter to her school. On your vacation, you prefer to ‘be awake’ than to
sleep. You were very ‘amazeD’ with the bill compared to other years, when you picked up your
car (you have a Seat). The cost of the check-up from previous years was ‘too much/too high’. In
general, you use your car very little (on Thursdays and weekends). You said ‘there looking for
my car’ and you should say ‘They were looking at my car’. Your bill was only 40 euros instead
of 300 euros. You are also changing car insurance. Your daughter doesn’t have a ‘driver’s
license’ yet.
The resource for today’s session was about reading-What have you been reading recently? You
enjoy reading ebooks more than physical books. You find it easier to manage, for example,
when you are on public transportation. Books are ‘bulk’ (they can occupy a lot of space).
Recently you finished a book about 3 weeks ago. It was about the Red Queen-a project created
by the government that recruits people to solve problems. ‘Kidnapping’-the situation, and
‘kidnapper’-the person who kidnaps someone.
