A. Name of Project: PLASTIC BOTTLE VASE

B. Objectives: At the end of a given period, the students should be able to:
1. Make a homemade plastic bottle vase out of recycled bottles;
2. Understand about sustainability and reducing waste by recycling and reusing;
3. And appreciate the beauty of plastic bottles being recycled.

F. Procedure (Write the Step by step procedure)

1. Prepare all the needed materials for the project(plastic bottle vase) and the tools to be used;
2. Cut the 1.5 bottle from the top and bottom part and also the cup holder;
3. Glue them together with and from the top use stick glue to add the mouth of the vase;
4. Prepare the yarn to be glued to the outer part of the vase;
5. From the left over bottle cut a long rectangular piece and cut it to strips from the edges;
6. Then using the lighter, burn the edges of the strips for it to curve;
7. Use a double sided tape to hold it when rolling the “flowers”
8. Use a wire to serve as its stem and cut a piece of bottle shaped as a leaf and burn its
edges;
9. Attach the leaf to the “stem” and use yarn to cover it;
10. Make two stems to be placed in the previously made vase; and
11. Clean out any dirt and its done.

G. Procedure (Write the Step by step procedure)

1. Prepare all the needed materials for the project(miniature gazebo) and the tools to be used;
2. Start with measuring the carton by 18x18 cm each side, then make a two line crossing each
center of the carton;
3. From the center, make a 45 degree to connect to the circle;
4. From the line connected to the circle draw a line to be cut and make a shape of an octagon;
5. Set aside the octagon(carton) and start with cutting the ice cream sticks to the shape of the
octagon and paste it;
6. Get the barbecue stick and cut it in 12 cm each for its leg;
7. From the tip of its leg, paste an ice cream stick for support the same with the base;
8. Get a mid sized barbecue stick to make its fence along with the ice cream stick;
9. Make a 3 pair chair to be put inside the circle;
10. For the roof, cut a triangle shape carton and paste it with ice cream sticks(optional with the
colored ones);
11. make 8 pairs for the roof, once done paste all of them together to form the roof them paste
them to its main body;
12. for the finishing touch, make a semi-roof on top and paste out the small crevasse of the
roof;
13. remove any excess stick glue on the project and its done.
