Every day between every period, I am in the hall greeting my students as they come in the room.

I
do this to set a friendly tone and as a reminder to my students that I am here for them. I also do this to
check in with my students as they arrive. I ask what they have going on and how they are doing each day. I
also use this time to remind them of any work they missed or answer any immediate questions they have. It
helps to set the tone for the rest of class when I get my students in a positive learning mindset before they
enter the room.
