    Aims and Objective (OPTIONAL)

    English for Academic and Professional Purposes Part II (EAPP II) is an academic preparation and
    advanced study skills course which aims to advance students’ English language communication skills in
    order to assist them in further university studies and/or the workplace.
    Intended Learning Outcomes of the Course

    On completion of the course, students should be able to

    ILO1. use the language of argumentation and discussion;


    ILO2. describe graphs, tables and charts effectively;
    ILO3. qualify generalizations appropriately;
    ILO4. utilize the language of comparison and contrast;
    ILO5. write a simple research report using appropriate academic conventions;
    ILO6. blend previous research into academic discussion using the MLA style of referencing.
