Give a brief description of the nominee's professional achievements. Suggestions: include

recent significant business accomplishments, past distinctions or awards.

Hand Arendall Harrison Sale Member Eddie Rowe works in the business section at his firm
representing businesses and individuals in commercial transactions. His professional
achievements are well deserved, as Rowe makes every effort to shoot for the stars in the
workplace. Each year, from 2016 to 2021, Rowe has been selected as a Mid-South Rising Star by
Super Lawyers. This award is based on an evaluation of two indicators including peer
recognition and professional achievement in legal practice. Being selected to Rising Stars is
limited to a small number of attorneys in each state. As one of the few attorneys to garner the
distinction of Rising Stars, Rowe has earned the respect from peers as one of the top-rated
attorneys in the nation. Since 2021, he has been selected three times as one of Best Lawyers’
“Ones to Watch, Appellate Practice and Commercial Litigation.”
Tell us about the nominee's level of expertise. Suggestions: include educational history and
qualifications, professional memberships or designations, years of work in their field.

Rowe represents and advises his clients in various business and transactional matters with a
particular focus on real estate deals involving land use planning. Rowe graduated with honors
from the University of Georgia in 2007. He then obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Cumberland
School of Law at Samford University in 2012, where he was the Executive Editor of the
Cumberland Law Review. Rowe started as a trial lawyer and worked in commercial litigation
before transitioning his focus to transactional matters. He has guided clients through difficult
challenges that arise when an agreement is breached or a venture fails. Many times, Rowe uses
his litigation experience to help his clients take the best approach to their transactions, whether
that's with legal risks or practical outcomes to contractual arrangements. In addition, Rowe is an
active member of both the Mobile and Baldwin County Bar Associations.

Tell us about the nominee's community involvement. Suggestions: include positions on

boards and involvement with charitable, community, religious and professional
organizations, and include any distinctions and awards for community service.

Rowe has made a name for himself not only as an outstanding attorney, but also someone who
shines bright in his community by stepping in whenever and wherever there’s a need to be filled.
He most appreciates the work of organizations and initiatives that provide visibility to under-
visible needs. Rowe also enjoys having the opportunity to interact with and get to know people
whose mix of strengths and needs is different from his own. That opportunity allows him to
bridge gaps, an experience he finds rewarding. This is most evident when it comes to Rowe’s
decision to care for foster children. The Rowe home is a licensed foster care home through
Baldwin County DHR, which paints a picture of dedication to serve the youth and underserved
population.

For several years, Rowe was an outstanding board member of the Fairhope Educational
Enrichment Foundation (FEEF). He served as the Chair of FEEF's Governance Committee, a
position he was appointed to take on in his second year on the board. FEEF’s primary objectives
revolve around fundraising for local schools and responsibly deploying those funds to support
STEAM enrichment. During each of his terms, Rowe made sure to volunteer for every event
hosted and always made sure every need was met. For three and a half years, Rowe served as an
“admirable example of what we strive for,” says FEEF Board President David Brock. Previously,
Rowe was a member of the Bayshore Christian School board of directors. His ability to balance
and excel in his career, as a husband, a father and an active community leader is why FEEF
leaders believe he is beyond qualified to be on the Mobile Bay Magazine 40 Under 40 List. He
also serves on the parish vestry at Church of the Apostles Eastern Shore where he, his wife, and
daughters regularly attend services.
Tell us about the nominee's leadership abilities and experience. Suggestions:
demonstrations of the nominee's leadership and innovation, and how the nominee's
company or organization has grown or benefited due to his/her leadership.

Rowe has been the utmost example of a leader in his workplace, community, church and home.
His wit, passion, selflessness and commitment to being the change he wants to see helps inspire
others to do the same. He is beyond humble - in fact, when he was told he was being nominated
for this award, he said, “I am, at best, very average in every major life category but one. The lone
exception being excellent hair.” So, please add that to the list of distinctions he has on his
resume. Rowe and his other half were married before he entered law school, and shortly after
their first child was born. Each step of the way, he has worked hard to become the attorney he is
today while making sure he’s there for the people who need him most, his family. He emersed
himself in his community, and began relentlessly expanding his scope of dedication to help
others. The Hand Arendall Harrison Sale firm has greatly benefited from hiring Rowe. He’s
helped the firm maintain a fundamental commitment to providing quality legal services. He’s
never hesitant to step up to the plate when it comes to organizations he’s a part of and makes
sure no one is left behind when times get rough. Even at a young age, Rowe stands as an
example for his peers – a guide, advisor, mentor and friend – to walk with on their journey. With
the ultimate goal of serving and fighting for what’s right, no matter the socioeconomic
background or status of the people he’s helping, Rowe should without question be added to the
Mobile Bay Magazine 40 Under 40 List.
