What I Have Learned:

Knowing one's self is a very fundamental part of growing up and maturing into adulthood. It
also gives us an opportunity and freedom to not just change ourselves, but also to better it in
the incoming future as we reach for our dreams.
I have learned in the time I have spent in these subjects that, is about finally being able to truly
find and know my true self and also my identity as a human being. Having self-knowledge is
essential to lead me into the happiest and most meaningful life, for example, I'm not afraid to
try new things so I could know new things about myself. Furthermore, I also learned to be
comfortable and content with my physical appearance, having a beautiful and kind soul is much
more important than having a beautiful appearance. As a result, I learned to further love and
care for myself, I have become more comfortable in my skin, better my attitude, and became
more confident.
Another factor to consider is understanding my true sexual orientation. Ever since I was young
and up in high school, I have always been confused about what I am. I tend to confuse love with
just simple admiration, because, that's how society views it. I never liked someone to the point
of liking them romantically. However, I have finally learned and figured out my true self, I
learned to finally accept the real me and become less confused.
To sum up the whole semester of studying Understanding the Self. I could say I have learned a
lot of things about these subjects, about how to accept myself, how to develop myself and
many more. I also get to reflect and apply what I have learned not only for myself but also to
better my future as well.
