MAKE-UP TOOLS
1) Sponge
A makeup sponge is a soft tool you can use to
apply liquid and cream makeup products. Makeup
sponges can be made of many different materials, so
it's important to make sure the one you choose is free
from common skin irritating ingredients, like latex.
Types of Sponge
1. Disposable Makeup Sponge
Triangle wedges, round cosmetic sponges, and
oval contouring sponges often fall into this category.
They are denser and firmer than the fluffy Beauty
Blender, and tend to break more easily. Since they don't
absorb a lot of product, they are meant for heavy
coverage.
2. Beautyblender Sponge
Beautyblender was designed to apply and
blend any cream or liquid makeup product onto the
skin for a smooth, poreless finish. It’s known for its
‘exclusive aqua-activated foam’ and its sphere shape
that can reach almost every contour on your face.
3. Air Cushion Puff
Really soft, this puff-like cushion has Eastern
origins and is mainly meant for applying cushion
foundations. However, it can be used for any liquid
foundation or concealer, and helps blend product
seamlessly giving sponges a run for their money.
4. Silicone Makeup Sponge
A silicone makeup sponge is exactly what it
sounds like a makeup blender that's made of a rubbery,
silicone material. Also referred to as jelly makeup
sponges, silicone makeup sponges come in a range of
shapes and sizes and are primarily used to apply
foundation, concealer, and face powder.
5. Wedge-shaped Makeup Sponge
A wedge-shaped sponge is a triangular
cosmetic sponge that is free of latex. The triangular
form enables even and precise makeup application. A
wedge-shaped Makeup Sponge is typically used on the
face to apply and mix makeup, hydrate, and remove
cosmetics.
6. Cellulose Cleansing Sponge
Made by natural cellulose linter pulp with good
resilience, strong water absorption, and heat resistance.
Can be used for cleansing the face, makeup removal,
exfoliating, or as a daily face wash sponge. Wash with
mild soap and water, air dry.
2) Sharpener
Makeup pencil sharpeners are tools used to
sharpen makeup pencils. Whether it’s a lip liner,
eyebrow pencil or kajal liner, all these cosmetic
products need to be sharpened after a few days of use.
3) Cotton Buds
One way to use cotton buds as a makeup tool is
to clean off lipstick excess or to blend the color. It also
works in place of eyelash curler. After applying a coat
of mascara, use cotton buds to lift your lashes up.
4) Eyelash Curler
Eyelash curlers are a hand-operated beauty
tool that enables you to curl eyelash hairs to create lift.
They are mostly used on upper eyelash hairs.
5) Powder Puff
A powder puff, as it relates to beauty and
personal care, is a small piece of material used to apply
makeup to a person's face. Typically made from a soft
substance such as cotton velour or down from a bird, a
powder puff is usually used to apply powdered
foundation or body powder.
6) Makeup Brush
A makeup brush is a tool with bristles, used for
the application of makeup or face painting. The bristles
may be made out of natural or synthetic materials,
while the handle is usually made out of plastic or
wood.
Types of Makeup Brush
1. Lip Brush
A lip brushes can make applying your lipstick
much easier. This small brush will help you get a crisp,
defined line that other women will envy. A lip brush is
very small and thin, with a layer of sleek bristles that
act like a paintbrush.
2. Eyeliner Brush
Using eyeliner brushes helps to create chain
free lines. It does not leave gaps in between. If you love
adding drama to your eyes, applying eyeliner with the
help or brushes can help to achieve them easily.
3. Eye Shadow Brush
A general eye shadow brush is a small, usually
stubby brush meant for sweeping eye shadow all across
the lid and upper eye area. This is a great tool to use for
eye shadow primer, as well. Simply dip the brush into
the shadow, tap off excess, and apply to lids.
4. Dual-Ended Brow Brush
It's specially designed to expertly apply brow
powders, creams, gels and waxes with ease. The hard-
angled brush creates precise definition while the
custom spoolie-brush blends seamlessly.
5. Blush Brush
The blush brush is perfect for for adding color
with a powdered blush, or for contouring with loose
powdered bronzer. The bristles are dense but soft, and
angled perfectly to hug your cheekbones and jawline to
create flawless definition.
6. Powder Brush
The powder brush is perfect for applying
powder makeup (like foundation, blush, bronzer, or
finishing powder) on large surfaces of the face. The
incredibly soft bristles blend makeup evenly on the skin
to create natural looking coverage.
7. Eyelash Comb and Angled Eyebrow Brush
One side is an eyelash brush, and the other is
an angled eyebrow brush, helps to organize eyelashes
and eyebrows. It is a dual-use brush for eyebrows and
eyelashes. It is very suitable for shaping and defining
eyebrows and applying eyeliner, which can meet your
different modification needs.
8. Body Makeup Brush
It’s a clever and multifunctional makeup brush.
The densely packed and velvet soft bristles pick up and
disperse any kind of makeup product from liquid
foundations to pressed powders for a not-really-there
look. For best use, dip the bristles into your bronzer
and sweep over your arms, face and body.
7) Eyebrow Scissors
Eyebrow scissors are special tools made
specifically to cut brow hairs with ease. These scissors
are different from nail scissors - as nail scissors have
thick blades to cut through the free edge of nails.
8) Eyebrow Razor
A brow razor is a smaller beauty tool that
features a blade at the top with a long, curved handle,
and it’s meant specifically for shaving your brows.
Cleansing Products
1. Gel face wash
The gel face wash is clear, has a gel-like
consistency and is great for people with oily, acne-
prone, sensitive skin. Designed for deep cleansing, gel
cleansers glide on the skin and work towards washing
away excess sebum from your pores while unclogging
and nourishing every inch of your skin without being
too harsh.
2. Cream face wash
A cream face wash typically has a thicker
consistency and contains moisturizing ingredients such
as milk or honey. Lotion or cream-type cleansers are
meant to deep cleanse your skin while hydrating it
thoroughly.
3. Foam face wash
Foam cleansers are between gel and cream
cleansers, which makes them a great pick for
combination skin types. They may start as cream or gel
and burst into a rich, foamy texture.
4. Micellar cleanser
Micellar water is the lightest type of cleanser
and has a similar look and texture to plain water. It is
made of tiny, oil molecules that lift oil, dirt, and
makeup like a magnet with or without rinsing.
5. Clay face wash
Clay face washes purify the skin by drawing
out excess oil and toxins from your pores and leave
your skin feeling fresh and radiant.
6. Bar Cleanser
The bar cleanser is not your regular soap. It is a
soap-free, moisturizing, cleansing bar that offers
effective removal of makeup, dirt, and excess oil while
being gentle on the skin.
Make-Up Products
1. Concealer
Concealer is similar to foundation except it's
generally thicker and hides dark circles, age spots,
blemishes and more by hiding pigments and blending
these imperfections into the skin. You should always
apply concealer on top of your foundation so it doesn't
smudge.
2. Cake Foundation
Use Cake Foundation as a setting powder over
creme makeup or wear over a primer. Other uses
include a subtle bronzer, a contouring powder, an
achromatic eyeshadow, and even for HD makeup,
especially for male makeup.
3. Liquid Foundation
Known as a tried-and-true makeup essential,
liquid foundation is a pigmented, liquid mixture
ranging in finish and levels of coverage to conceal
imperfections and leave the skin with a seamless look.
4. Blush
Blush, or rouge, is a type of makeup often
applied to the cheek area of the face with a makeup
brush in order to even out skin tone or to add more
color.
5. Eyeshadow
One type of makeup that is used to enhance
the eyes is commonly called eyeshadow. While it is
frequently used to shade or "shadow" the eyes, it is also
used to lighten, brighten, and make eyes appear larger.
6. Eyeliner
Eyeliners are products that apply color to the
area around the eyes to accent and highlight
appearance of the eyes. Eyeliners are used to
emphasize the eyelids and/or to change the perceived
shape of the eyes.
7. Eye Brow Pencil
An eyebrow pencil is the perfect beauty tool to
enhance your natural brow color and create perfect
eyebrows! It allows you to shape your brows by
defining the outline and draw additional hairs where
you don't have any.
8. Lip Pencil
Lip Pencil can also help lipsticks last longer on
the lip, you can use them to shade in the lips before
applying lipstick on the top. This will help the lipstick
adhere better to the lips and stop it from fading away
and feathering.
9. Lipstick
Lipstick is a cosmetic product used to apply
coloration and texture to lips, often made of wax and
oil. Different pigments are used to produce color, and
minerals such as silica may be used to provide texture.
10. Mascara
Mascaras are products intended to enhance the
appearance of the eyes by thickening, lengthening, and
usually darkening the eyelashes.
11. Loose Powder
It is mainly used as a setting powder to set
your makeup in place and prevent it from creasing. A
loose powder is finely milled to provide a seamless and
lightweight finish. Loose powder is commonly used for
baking your makeup.
12. Pressed Powder
Primarily used to set liquid
foundation/concealer so that the makeup lasts longer
and does not move around, or rub off of your skin.
