Abstract
Multi-temperature quail egg hatcher is a product that hatches bird eggs by
setting the hatching room at a certain temperature and humidity. This product is
powered by a 19V 3.2A power supply that powers all components and modules.
This product requires high power because there is a heater inside that plays the
role of heating the egg hatching room. An important component in this system
is the DHT 11 which is a sensor that functions to measure temperature and
humidity from the environment. In general, this system works by ensuring that
the temperature and humidity are always in the appropriate range. The
component used to maintain humidity is humidifier water. This component
works by converting water into fine water droplets. By spraying these droplets,
the humidity in the room can be increased. When the humidity exceeds a set
value, the humidifier will stop automatically. In addition, there is also a heater
that is used to supply heat to the incubator. This heater consists of 3 important
components, namely Kanthal wire, DC exhaust fan and K4107 N-Channel
MOSFET. Kantal wire is chosen as a heating element because it does not take
up a large space and is easy to shape. This heating element is controlled by an
N-Channel MOSFET model K4107. This MOSFET is capable of carrying high
current at the same time making this MOSFET suitable for controlling this
heating element. The specialty of this product is that there are 3 temperature and
humidity profiles at 3 different hatching phases. This ensures that the eggs hatch
safely.
Introduction
Egg hatching percentage is one of the important aspects in the egg hatching
process. This is because a high hatching percentage causes egg wastage to
decrease while increasing yield. This product is specially designed for people
who are interested in making this egg hatching activity their hobby. This is
because its size is not too big, this product is suitable to be placed in the
bedroom, living room and kitchen. There are also other egg incubators available
in the market, but most of them require manual setting, i.e. the user has to set
the temperature himself according to the hatching phase. This project aims to
design an automatic temperature control quail egg hatcher that can control
various temperature profiles. In addition, this project also aims to develop a
circuit and source code for an automatic temperature control.
Methodology
The project development was divided into three main parts. There are
mechanical design, electronic design and software design. So, when combined
together all parts will be performing the multi-temperature quail egg hatcher. In
mechanical design the focus is on making casing using perspex. For electronic
design focus on built the system circuit. Besides that, in software the focus is on
programming the system using Arduino.
System Development
This product can hold up to 12 eggs at a time. This product can also be
connected to the internet and further to the Telegram bot. From the Telegram
bot, users can also find out the conditions of the incubator such as temperature,
humidity, heater and humidifier status, the hatching start date and also control
the lights on the incubator either on or off. The overall design of this project is
shown in figure 1.

Result and discussion
The result obtained from this product is a quail that successfully hatched. These
quail eggs were chosen because of their small size and only need about eighteen
days for the eggs to start hatching, unlike other eggs that can take up to a month
for the eggs to start hatching.

Conclusion
As a conclusion for this article, this product can be said to have successfully
achieved its main purpose of hatching quail eggs. In addition, the temperature
and humidity are also successfully controlled based on the profile that has been
set. The connection of this product on Telegram also operates smoothly without
any errors in the data sent from the product. All these things are expected to
make it easier for users to monitor and ensure that the eggs hatch perfectly.
