RESOLUTION NO. 2019-208

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEMOliTION OF THE

PNP OUTPOST LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF NICOLAS
JAMILLA, SR. AVENUE ALONG STRONG REPUBliC
NAUTICAL HIGHWAY TO PREVENT OBSTRUCTION IN THE
ON-GOING WIDENING PROJECT OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF PUBliC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH)

WHEREAS, received by the Sangguniang Bayan for appropriate

action is the letter dated January 9, 2019 from the Office of the
Municipal Mayor requesting authority for the demolition of the PNP
Outpost located at the corner of Nicolas Jamilla, Sr. Avenue along
Strong Republic Nautical Highway to prevent obstruction in the on-
going widening project of the Department of Public Works and
Highways (DPWH);

Sang B n e bar WHEREAS, under Section 447 (1) of R.A. 7160 otherwise known as
the Local Government Code of 1991 states that the Sangguniang Bayan
approve ordinances and pass resolutions necessary for an efficient and
effective municipal government;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan of Gloria has determined that

the demolition of the PNP Outpost located at the corner of Nicolas
Jamilla, Sr. Avenue along Strong Republic Nautical Highway is

necessary to prevent obstruction in the oll-going widening project of
the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH);

WHEREAS, it is th e cousensus that the demolition of the PNP
Outpost located at the corner of Nicolas Jamilla, Sr. Avenue along
Strong Republic Nautical Highway will be for the best interest of the
people and the Muuicipality of Gloria as a whole;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion ofHon. Romeo Edward P. Alvarez, Cbairperson,

Committee 00 Infrastructure and duly seconded by Hon. Nick Orlando M. Jamilla, so be
it.

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED tbat tbe resolution authorizing

tbe demolition of tbe PNP Outpost located at tbe comer of Nicolas Jamilla, Sr. Avenne
along Strong Republic Nautical Higbway to prevent obstmction in tbe on-going widening
project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), be approved.

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.

RESOLVED FURTHER, tbat copy of tbis resolution be furnisbed tbe Office of

tbe Municipal Mayor, Office of tbe Mnnicipal Engineer and the Office of the Municipal
Planning & Development Coordinator for tbeir information and guidance.
