CIVIL MATTER DISPUTES - FAMILY TROUBLE
SUMMARY:
While on patrol at EFF | was dispatched to the listed venue for an alleged domestic violence incident between
a brother and sister. After being on scene and interviewing all involved, as well as, learning two other police
officers were dispatched two separate times throughout the day for the same thing | determined there was not
enough information to support the elements of domestic violence, Eventually all involved parties willingly
separated and left the area
HISTORY:
As mentioned above brother (iE ) and sister
traveled with their parents from OHIO to Rothbury for Electric Forest Festival. During most of the weekend
they did not get along and argued. (gM struggles with mental health issues and was allegedly having a
rough weekend in regard to her mental health. On the day of the incident two police officers were called to the
HEE campsite for argumentative issues two separate times throughout the day. At one point, am
‘agreed to go to a local hospital to have her mental wellness evaluated, When the ambulance arrived to
transport her she ran away. After she retumed the arguing continued with the police being called a third time
and this is when the MSP became involved in the incident. Myself and Tpr. King responded from the EFF
grounds. The Oceana County Sheriff Department was the earlier responding agency and found no signs of
domestic violence as well. | read a copy of their report. The parents 0f "were unsure if
their children used any festival enhancing drugs but thought more likely than not they did due to their behavior.
HE had not taken any her mental health medication until we arrived and asked if she had taken her
prescribed medication. She stated she normally takes it in the morning — it was late afternoon at this point.

HE advised he and his sister had not been getting along the entire weekend they were at EFF. He stated
his sister was accusing the family of hiding her personal belongings and arguing with them about everything,
He mentioned at one point around 1030 am his sister accused him of shoving her while they were inside of,
their parents motorhome. ggg stated he was sleeping at this time and woke to his sister yelling that he
shoved her, he advised he has no recollection of the alleged shove. He stated his mother was in the
motorhome at the time and did not see anything as well. He mentioned they have been arguing all day with
the police being called before our arrival

The below information is being reported as stated by J. It was collected at the listed venue.
HEE {ated she and her brother had been arguing all day as well and she felt her family were hiding her
personal belongings. She mentioned at one point while inside of the motorhome she was arguing with her
brother and he shoved her near the stairs of the motorhome. She stated she was not injured. She did not
have much to add other than all of the family were having a rough weekend.
INJURIES:
No injuries were noted on any of the involved parties. | asked and all stated there were no injuries to anyone.

IE MM Made the same statement as the rest of the family regarding their behavior. She was visibly upset
‘over how the weekend had transpired and spoke of her daughter's mental health issues. She stated she did
not know what to do at this point. She indicated she was in the motorhome at the time of the alleged pushing

stated he had the police at his campground two times prior to our arrival and wished somebody
would do something since the NN Were disrupting his other campers, He stated he was going to ask
them to leave due to those issues.

ACTION TAKEN:
Since the [gg had two vehicles with them (motorhome & passenger car) | suggested they may want to
leave for the weekend as the manager mentioned he was going to kick them out of the park anyway due to
their disruptive behavior that was effecting other paying guests. NN and Il INNNNEN agreed to do this
with each taking one of their children with them. lj IM ended up leaving in the passenger car with
20 I With MMT in the motorhome, All agreed this may not have been the best vacation
destination for their family due to I mental wellness issues and family cohesiveness in general.
Once Il MN 2nd IN left the park we cleared at this time.
