complete the DILEMMA SEMINAR:

course … The paper involves a presentation, elaboration and evaulation of an
ana.sobocan@ ethical dilemma of your choice (see details on next page) in a form of a
seminar paper. Usually, a good lenght for presenting all the elements
fsd.uni-lj.si would be 12 pages.
The dilemma can be hypothetical or one that you have experienced
yourself; it can be in the field of social work (or another professional
field of your studies).
 PRESENTATION OF THE DILEMMA
Describe in detail the issue / problem / situation
(where and how it occured, who was involved,
what was your role in resolving and all the
information you know about it).
 ELABORATION OF THE DILEMMA
Describe in detail how you approached resolving
the dilemma : what methods / tools / resources/
approaches were used to resolve it, what were the
choices of action and why
 EVALUATION OF THE DILEMMA
Present the consequences of the choice of actions
(=outcome) and critically evaluate these choices;
present what courses of action could be taken to
improve the outcome …
  In your paper, it is necessary that you use – make a reference to –
the Code of Ethics for Social Workers in your country. Please
attach the document to the seminar paper.
 The argument or topic is presented with the use of at least 3
scientific sources (papers, books) and 2 non-scientific sources
(legislation, other relevant sources).

Further details  Scientific / non-scientific literature can be used in all three sections
of the paper (also in the presentation).
 If you are writing about a hypothetical dilemma or one that has
not yet been resolved, simply adapt the guidelines so that they
make sense (i.e. what would you do instead of what you did).
