Phylum Echinodermata?
- In terms of reproduction, they are releasing sperms and egg cells into the water
and are capable of regeneration and fragmentation.

2. In what kind of habitats do echinoderms live?


- All echinoderms are marine, but they are found in habitats ranging from shallow
intertidal areas to abyssal depths.

3. Into which classes are echinoderms divided? What are some representative
species from each class?
- The phylum echinodermata is divided into five extant classes: Asteroidea (sea
stars), Ophiuroidea (brittle stars), Echinoidea (sea urchins and sand dollars),
Crinoidea (sea lilies or feather stars), and Holothuroidea (sea cucumbers). The
most well-known echinoderms are members of class Asteroidea, or sea stars.

4. What kind of skeleton does an echinoderm have?


- Endoskeleton. It is an internal skeleton found within the tissues of the aquatic
animals.
