PLEASE NOTE
The radio transmission of the HCW 22 may be disrupted
by interference from metal objects in the building (metal
cabinets and doors, mirrors, radio transmitters or
concrete ceilings and iron grills).
− Establish and check radio communication of the
HCW 22 as to interference (see Start-up).
− If interference occurs, select alternative location for
installation.

START-UP
1. Remove cover of housing of the remote setpoint selector as
shown in Figure 2.

Figure 2: Remove cover of housing

The transmission button and the red LED (see Figure 3) of
the device sensor are used in this procedure.

INSTALLATION
1. Remove batteries again.
2. Mark drill holes at location position according to instructions
in diagram.

selector wheel position
3. Drill holes.
4. Screw remote setpoint selector to wall.
5. Insert batteries again.
6. If desired:
Place the two small pins in the holes of the selector wheel in
order to limit the adjustment range. The scale near the mid-

In Figure 4, the pins are, for example, placed in such a
manner, that the selector wheel can only be adjusted by
±3 C from position 0.
7. Turn selector wheel clockwise to stop.
8. Check whether the selector wheel is in the position as
shown in Figure 4.
9. If the selector wheel is not in position as shown in Figure 4:
Lift selector wheel, move by 90° and put it into the position
as shown in Figure 4.
10. Turn selector wheel to position 0 (see Figure 1).
11. Return cover to housing by placing top edge against back
