Engine Summary

The engine work scope includes:


1. Life limited parts replacement to a minimum limiter of 8,390 cycles
remaining at CFM56-7B27 and core performance restoration.
The following are details of the work accomplished.
• Replace Fan and Booster module with serviceable that meets minimum build
limit. Install 24 each Fan Blades in overhauled condition.
• Disassemble the No. 1 and 2 Bearing Support and replace the Fan Shaft with
unit that meets the minimum build limit.
• Inspected the Fan Frame assembly for serviceability.
• Disassemble the HPC Rotor and replace HPC Stage 3 and HPC 4-9
Spool with units that meet the minimum build limit. Overhaul HPC Blades
stages 1 through 9 and match grind to stator cases.
• Inspect and repair the HPC Front Stator Case for serviceability and install
overhauled stationary seals and match grind to HPC Rotor.
• Inspect and repair the HPC Rear Stator Case for serviceability and install
overhauled stationary seals and match grind to HPC Rotor.
• Inspect and repair the Combustion Case to include replacement of the HPT
Inner Stationary Seal with an overhauled unit. Install overhauled Combustion
Chamber.
• Disassemble, inspect and install a complete set of overhauled HPT Nozzle
Segments
• De-blade the HPT Rotor and inspect module for serviceability. Install
complete set of overhauled HPT Blades and match grind.
• Disassemble, inspect and install a complete set of overhauled HPT
Shrouds and LPT Stage 1 Nozzle Segments. Match-grind the HPT
Shrouds to HPT Blades and maintain minimum J05 clearance.
• Replace the LPT Major Module with a serviceable module having a minimum
build limit of 8,390 cycles remaining.
• The following components will be routed for minimum Bench Check:
o VSV Actuators
o HPTCC Valve
o LPTCC Valve
o Fuel Nozzle
o Fuel Pump
o HMU
• Reassemble engine and comply with Test 002, 003, and 009. Preserve fuel
and oil system up to 365 days after engine testing.
• Issue FAA Form 8130-3 and EASA Dual Release.
• All engine LLPs installed have full back to birth trace.
