Make sure to bring your tissues with you because this movie will most likely trigger your

tears. The
movie entitled, "Miracles from Heaven" is based on the real-life story of the Beam family wherein the 10-year-
old middle daughter, Anna, got diagnosed with a rare, incurable disease. Anna Beam was played by Kylie
Rogers who showed her undoubtedly amazing skills in acting despite her young age. The story revolves around
her and her journey from being sick, to losing faith, and to being miraculously healed. She’s a smart kid, full of
confidence, and has a passion for books. It was one night when she suddenly violently vomited with her
stomach in so much pain. Doctors told her and her parents, Christy and Kevin Beam, that what she is
experiencing is lactose intolerance, acid reflux, or whatever minor disease that is curable or treatable. But Anna
did not get any better and Christy did not believe that her sickness is just one of those so, she flew with Anna to
Boston in hopes of seeing the top pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Samuel Nurko. And there, they knew what
really was going on with Anna and it also marked the start of her further struggles as they try to heal her. All
throughout this movie and also in the life of the whole Beam family, faith was their main reason of everything.
Miracles from Heaven showed that there is nothing wrong with having faith in God. Moreover, having faith and
believing that miracles do happen can somehow be justified in the craziest of ways.
The Miracles from Heaven’s two minutes long trailer pretty much sums up what the whole movie will
show that’s why there would not be any spoiler problems at all. In addition, because the story's plot can be
readily predicted, Patricia Riggen, the director, faced a struggle in maintaining the audience's interest in what
will happen. She allegedly leaned heavily on the drama involving people and their significant stakes. "Miracles
from Heaven" is based from Christy Beam's memoir in 2015. Faith is, without a doubt, its main component.
However, it differs from other films regarding faith that actually shows someone, a living human, being praised
like the "The Bible" and the "Son of God." It is a real-life story, raw from the experiences of miracles of the
Beam Family.
The Beams are from Burleson, Texas, which is close to Fort Worth. They were a close-knit family
consisting of Dr. Kevin Beam, their mother Christy, and their three daughters, Abbie, Anna, and Adelynn. They
were a devout family, of course. It was when Anna was given a diagnosis of an incurable intestinal motility
disorder. Anna had to use feeding tubes because it was impossible for her to eat. Because Anna’s illness had
already had a financial impact on her family, it had become a very heavy burden to bear. Additionally, they had
to make non-stop trips from Texas to Boston for Anna’s regular appointments with her doctor.
Along the way of Anna’s painful journey, there were people who showed kindness to them. In the
movie, that was the first miracle to occur. They were a miracle since they entered Anna’s life at a perfect time.
In Boston, Anna and her mother made a very great friendship with a very kind waitress named Angela. They
have also forged strong relationships with Dr. Nurko as a result of their frequent sessions with him. There are
still a lot of people like them in the story and all of them greatly contributed to Anna’s journey.
It came to the point where Anna lost hope. Even her mother, who was so religious, said that she couldn't
even pray anymore. Christy lost her faith in God, while Anna lost her hope that she would live. But the movie
revolves around how miracles happen. Back at their home in Texas, since Anna had already given up hope, she
agreed to climb a big old cottonwood tree near their house with her older sister, Abbie, one last time. The high
branch they have chosen to sit on suddenly cracked, and Anna went into the tree's hollow trunk to save herself
from falling, but she got plummetted 30 feet to the ground, head first. If you're going to look at it, you'll
immediately think that Anna would not survive that fall. This is when the actual miracle happened. After
minutes or hours of trying to get her out of there, they finally succeeded. The twist is that Anna, who had just
given up her hope of becoming healed, survived that fall without a scratch. Not only that, but after that accident
and while Annq was recovering from it, her mother noticed that her belly, which was actually very big because
of her sickness, was then becoming normal again. In short, she was cured of her intestinal disease.

The movie showed that miracles happen, and when they do, It will be in the most unexpected and
peculiar way. Anna’s experience was no different. Based on her story, she left her body and went to heaven,
where there are a lot of colors; flowers are everywhere; butterflies were flying here and there—a complete
paradise. There, she talked to God, and she got told that she should come back and that she would be fine. It
might seem impossible to most of us, but the film suggests that you can depict that story in whatever way you
want to. Personally, I don’t really know how I’ll believe that that moment is true because I am a strong believer
in the fact that everything has an explanation. I do believe in God, the Creator, and I know that He has ways of
making things happen. The thing about this movie is that no one can explain what really happened to Anna’s
condition and why she suddenly got back to normal. According to other accounts, maybe it was a pure miracle,
and it was His way of making people believe in Him.
I would recommend this movie for people to watch because, overall, it is really interesting,
heartwarming, and full of life lessons. Its performance at the box office can also tell that it is a good movie
because it gained more than $61 million in gross earnings. From more than 10,000 people, there was a 4.1 out
of 5 average rating, according to RottenTomatoes.com. Additionally, there are comments like, “They got really
surprised at just how the whole movie was successfully handled, beautifully shot, and really well acted, and that
it really captures the emotions and the crisis of faith that must be the experience of those who must watch their
children suffer in any way.” A lot of similar comments from the audience just show that this movie is worth our
time.
There are really circumstances in life that leave us with no choice but to wish for a miracle to happen. I
won't say that we all should have faith because not all of us are believers, and most importantly, there are things
that we can't just leave to our "faith." According to a non-believer couple who watched the movie, if you are a
believer, this movie is the one to go see. If you are not, that does not mean that you should avoid it. You can
actually watch it solely for the acting and the storyline, just like you don't believe in Hogwarts' existence but
enjoy the series regardless. In conclusion, Miracles from Heaven is an excellent movie, and it deserves a lot of
appreciation.
