The videos talks about why Jackie Chan’s Movies were different form American movies, even though
the actor is good but how is the outcome still not good? It is stated there that because of the editing skills,
actors lack of involvement in the movie, and lack of time making the movie. In addition the plot, setting and
atmosphere, and the irony used in the scenes and dialogues are combined very well even though the movies
of Jackie Chan are mostly actions but there is mix of comedy. Is it possible to mix comedy with action? Yes,
since it depends on how the dialogues and plots were written, how well the actors portray the character well,
and the angle taken by the camera makes the trick to produce a good movie. The elements and devices of
literature plays their part on certain story or movie but the main part for me based on the video presented
where they are making a movie or film is actor portraying the characters main characteristic and manners
plays the most important role in filming a movie. Even though how good is the angle of the camera or the
coolness of the action scene it will not be good scenes the actor did not get the characters he/she portrays
there characteristic and manners. The writer also uses irony and figure of speech in some parts of the story on
the characters dialogue to make the story not stiff and boring, can also make the readers or watchers think
about what is that kind of dialogue is to make the movie or story more interesting to the audience. A certain
story or drama depends on the elements and devices of the literature since they are the ones who makes the
story more understandable, the one who delivers the audience or readers what the writers want then to
know, and brings life and colour to the story. That’s what Jackie Chan trying to say the involvement and
dedication of the actor in the movie, the angles of the camera, and the editing skills of the editing team is
really important. In the video they were talking about the actor’s character, the plot of the story and dialogue,
the point of view of the actor by using the camera angle, and many more. They know and they have noticed
how important this element and devices of literature are that’s why they are pointing it out and comparing it
to other movies to see what is the difference and to let people know how helpful and important this elements
and devices are when making a film or story. All in all written story may it be drama has the same elements
and devices of literature to use when they are producing their film and story. Their maybe a failed,
uninteresting, and cringe story because they are lacking in some parts in the elements and devices or did they
use wrong combination of elements in their movie that’s why their drama or story did not work out. Before
writing or making a drama/film we should think and understand first some of the elements to use in a story
detail by detail before going out to look at the bigger picture of the in making a drama or story.
