Warnings
The present manual is for device fitters and operators.
We recommend to read this manual carefully before the handling, installation, use, maintenance and
disassembly of the device.
This manual is an integral part of the device and must be kept until the device is decommissioned. It reflects
the technical state of the device at the time of its sale.
The plant builder may include the present manual in the documentation for plant use.
Re S.p.A. reserves the right to update its production and/or manuals without updating products already sold
and previous manuals.
This device is a partly completed machine that complies with directive 2006/42/CE. It is destined for
professional use in industrial settings; it is not able to carry out any process on its own but must be fitted into
a machinery.
It is the machine manufacturer’s responsibility to comply with the laws in force in the country the machine is
installed in and to adopt all the necessary safety measures, as well as the application of the WEEE law (waste
from electric and electronic equipment).
We strongly recommend you to use the partly completed machine only for the purpose it has been
designed for.
Furthermore, the device complies with all the requirements of the Directive on the restriction of the use of
certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment 2011/65/UE (RoHS II), as incorporated
into Italian Law by Legislative Decree No. 27, dated 4.03.2014.

Handling instructions
When handling the webguide always wear safety gloves and boots and
observe all the safety norms required for the environment in which it is
located.
When handling take care not to knock the webguide as this may damage it.

Safety notes
The webguide AT must be fitted and used by qualified technical personnel, in compliance
with the safety norms required for the environment the machine is installed in.
It is not suitable for work in open air areas, corrosive, explosive or excessively dusty
environments.
Don’t touch any voltage carrying parts.
Do not damage, tamper with or tread on the connection cables.

The AT webguide includes moving parts so, during installation and use, take care, do not
touch moving parts; remove bracelets, watches and other items from arms and hands which
may catch on moving parts and secure loose clothing.

Assembling the webguide on the end machine

To assemble the webguide wear safety gloves and boots and observe all
the safety norms required for the environment in which it is installed.

1) Fit the sensor on the slide:

Put the sensor on the slide in the required position (the sensor tilt and position, in relation to the slide,
are variable). Tighten the two fixing screws to secure the sensor.

Screws

Sensor slide

2) Fit the slide on the end machine, in the correct position.

If you use the QUBE or TL.01 optical sensor, follow the installation indications set out in the relative
“User’s manual”.

3) Fasten the AT webguide to the machine structure

Assemble the guide observing the safety distances between the webguide and the rest of the machine,
as stipulated in current normatives.
Secure the AT mechanically (as shown in the following diagram) only at points “R” and “F”, taking care
to lock the point “R” on the fixed part of the plant. Ensure that the motor casing “M” is at the bottom.
The fixing points are tilting, therefore the plant builder must allow only one degree of freedom, limited
by mechanical safety limit switches.

 If the actuator is applied to an unwinder, fit the sensor so that it is integrated with the fixed
part of the machine immediately after the last mobile roller.
 If the actuator is applied to an rewinder, fit the sensor so that it is integrated with the mobile
part, immediately before the first mobile roller.

Important!
These drawings show the actuator AT with MWG10 and MWG61.
Read carefully and follow the indication concerning the electrical connections (power
supply, remote contacts, sensor (SU or SIR) and ground) on the user’s manual of the
device applied to the AT (MWG52, MWG61, MWG10 or SmartMotion).

Rev. 08/19 9/13

AT

What is the AT actuator?

AT is a webguide edge regulation system, consisting of a driver MWG52 or MWG61 or MWG10 or
SmartMotion and an ultrasound or infrared sensor (SU or SIR).
The user can execute the regulation procedure and set up the webguide system operating parameters by
MWG52 or MWG10 frontal panel, or by WLigo control interface applied to Smartmotion, or by RK31 or RK-
one control interface applied to MWG61, with their simple, easy-to-use graphic display.
Details about the sensor and the electronic device functioning are described in the respective manuals.

Technical specifications
 Power supply and consumption: 24Vdc ±7% - 4A max
 Operating temperature: 10÷50°C
 Weight: from 4Kg to 15Kg
 Max length of the supply cable: 10m

Maintenance

Caution!
Before performing any operation on the AT whatsoever, turn the voltage supply off.

To ensure that the AT operates efficiently:

 check the condition of the cables regularly;
 keep the sensor capsules clean.
The frequency at which these operations are performed depends on how the webguide is used.

To avoid malfunctioning, be careful also not to expose the sensor to direct draughts.

Disassembly and dismantling

Caution!
Before dismantling the AT, turn the voltage supply off.

When disassembling and dismantling the webguide always wear safety

gloves and boots and observe all the safety norms required for the
environment in which it is located.

To disassemble the webguide from the machine simply remove the connection pivot with the eye bolts or
remove the screws of the fixing flange (see drawings on page 3).

Information about device recovery

The device bears a clear, visible and indelible indication allowing identification of the
manufacturer and the separate collection symbol (symbol on side).
This symbol, showing a wheelie bin with a cross through it, unequivocally indicates that the
device was released after 13.08.2005 and that it must be subject to separate collection.

Principles of priorities must be considered during the hazardous wastes management: prevention,
preparation for the reuse, recycling, other forms of recovery, disposal.

- In European Union member states

The device falls within the electrical and electronic equipment category, which must be disposed of not
amongst undifferentiated urban waste, but through separate collection. Therefore, at the end of the
device’s lifetime, it must be disposed of in conformity with the European standards adopted in the
member state in which it was installed.
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) may be intended for individual, collective or mixed
collection and recovery systems at designated centres (for more information contact the relevant local
authorities) or may be returned to the distributor when a new item of equipment is purchased. This
eliminates or reduces potentially negative effects on the environment deriving from improper use of the
equipment or parts of it.
For correct waste management, the relevant authorities promote the reduction of final waste disposal by
means of re-use, recycling and other forms of recovery to obtain raw materials from waste.
In the event of illegal disposal of WEEE, offenders will be punished in accordance with the sanctions
established by the member state in which it was installed.

- In non-EU countries
Recovery and final disposal of the device must be carried out in conformity with the standards in force in
the country in which it was installed. It may be advisable to take into account the information provided
regarding European Union member states.
