1. The picture shows a scene from the Sinulog Festival in Cebu City.

2. All throughout the festival whether before, during or after dancing, one must observe his/her
needed intake of fluids, be hydrated, and have manageable break intervals to ease the body’s
temperature and relax the muscles.
3. One might lose energy and excessive amounts of water from the body through perspiration or
sweating while dancing under the sun.
4. Coconut water, milk, smoothies, electrolyte –infused water, electrolyte tablets and sport drinks
are some of the healthy drinks one could take in before, during or after dancing under the heat
of the sun. They could also eat fruits in order to replenish their thirst and energy like
watermelon, orange, papaya, and pineapples.

2. As one of the participants in the festival, I should take good care of myself especially in the cold
weathers of Baguio City. Before the initial program or parade starts I should keep warm and eat
high energy foods, then during the parade I should exert enough lively efforts as one of the
participants. After the event I should cool down, relax, replenish the energy I’ve exerted from
dancing, and change my clothes drenched in sweat.
3. My colleague experienced hypothermia wherein he had excessively low body temperature
characterized by uncontrollable shivering, paleness and cold skin due to the cold environment.
Plus, the overexertion we did after all the training must have been too hard to bear as we went
beyond all our limitations.
4. When in a cold environment we should wear warm and comfy clothes in order for the heat in
our bodies to be regulated. We should also consume high energy foods and warm drinks to
produce body heat to fight against the cold.
