Fehling;s Regeant Molisch Test Benedicts's Test

Add 1 drop of Molisch reageant into Add 2 ml of Benedict's

Add about 2ml of previously
prepared Fehling's
solution(combination of 6 ml
Fehling's A and 6 ml of Fehling's
B) to each test tube. Mix the
solution thoroughly and place
them in a boiling water for 5
minutes
each of the above of test tubes. Mix
well and incline test tube carefully
and add 1 ml of concentrated
sulfuric acid allowing the acid to run
gently down the side of the test
tube. Do not mix the sulfuric will
form a layer at the bottom of the
tube.

Mix well and boil the
mixture in a water bath for
3 minutes. Remove from
the water bath if formation
of a brick red precipate is
observed.

Barfoed's Test Se;owanoff's Test

Closing

Add 2 ml of Barfoed's Add 2 ml of Seliwanoff

reagent to each test reagent in each test
tube. Mix well and boil tube. immerse the test
them in water for 3 tube at the same time
minutes. in a boiling water bath .
