CALL UP INSTRUCTIONS FOR SSB : NDA(M & W) -150 COURSE

Dear Candidate,

1. Congratulations on being shortlisted to attend SSB interview at Selection Centre East,

Prayagraj.

2. Reception. Candidates are advised to report at MCO (Movement Control Office) at Railway
Station, Prayagraj Junction at Platform No.1 ON REPORTING TIME (05:15 AM) AND DATE as
communicated. Daily bus service will be provided from railway station to Selection centre East.
Candidates can also report directly at Selection Centre East, Prayagraj (Cariappa Gate, New Cantt,
Near Paani Tanki Chauraha, Kanpur Road, Prayagraj-211001) as per their SSB schedule. Bus
service will also be provided from Selection Centre East back to railway station, Prayagrag
Junction everyday at 2:30 pm

3. COVID-19 ADVISORY.

(a) RTPCR Report/ Vaccination Certificate.

(i) Candidates who have a vaccination certificate for two doses generated
from COWIN platform and are asymptomatic on arrival will be exempted
from carrying a negative RTPCR Report.
(ii) Service entry candidates who have a vaccination certificate issued by
MH for two doses and are asymptomatic on arrival will be exempted from
carrying a negative RTPCR report.
(iii) Any candidate (incl Service Entry candidate) who does not possess the
vaccination certificate will be reqd to produce RTPCR negative report as in
vogue. The RTPCR test should have been conducted within 72 hrs of
reporting at the Selection Centre.
(b) Candidates will preferably not travel from any containment zones.
(c) Candidates having any COVID-19 related symptoms are advised not to move from
their home station.
(d) Candidate will be returned if symptoms like fever, cold, cough & running nose are
detected at the reception area.
(e) Candidates will ensure that all documents including any affidavit for wrong name
or tattoos etc as stated in the call up instructions are brought along. In case candidate
fails to produce the required documents at the time of reporting, his candidature will
stand CANCELLED. NO repeat NO representation will be accepted thereafter.
(f) Latest passport size photographs with light colour background and not older
than one week will be brought, failure to which will render disqualification for
appearing in SSB. Civil areas outside the premises of Selection centre East are OUT
OF BOUND for all candidates.

(g) Candidates are advised to carry adequate clothing for their stay of two weeks in
case recommended for selection. Laundry facilities are available on payment basis. All
candidates will carry their personal face masks, face shield, gloves, hand sanitiser
and water bottles, same will be checked and to be utilised by the candidates
throughout their stay in Selection Centre.

(h) Medical assistance, if required will be provided to candidates at Selection Centre.

Random regular body temperature check will be conducted during their stay in
Selection Centre.
(j) NO RISK CERTIFICATE. All candidates will carry and submit a COVID-19 No
Risk Certificate’ during reception at Selection Centre East. In case of minors, the
same is to besigned by their parents/ natural guardians as per Appendix ‘A’ attached.

(k) Candidates are advised to get travel details (i.e. from PLACE OF RESIDENCE to
SCE, ALLAHABAD) as per following :-

(i) Ensure putting on mask all the times.

(iii) Maintain at least one metre / three feet distance amongst each other and also
ensure that there is no congregation of more than three candidates under any point of
time.
(iv) Avoid touching of your body parts with any surface unnecessarily.
(v) Maintain good respiratory hygiene ie cover your mouth and nose with tissue
paper while coughing or sneezing. Dispose off the used tissue immediately in the
covered dustbin followed by thorough washing of hands with soap and water.

(vi) Inform and seek immediate medical attention in case of fever, cough and
difficulty in breathing.
(vii) Be supportive, careful, alert and stay safe.

4. No changes will be made to the SSB dates, once selected/ allotted. Also, no absentee
batches have been scheduled.

Note 1 :- Local Candidates.

(a) Withhold your move and contact us at the earliest in case you or your
parents or close relatives are serving in Selection Centre East, Prayagraj.

(b) Candidates, who are wards of serving persons who are posted to any defence
establishment in Prayagraj/Prayagraj Military Station should immediately info
SelectionCentre East, Prayagraj.

(c) Further instructions regarding change of Centre will be intimated to you on

receipt of such confirmation from you.

(d) Withholding information or giving false information in this regard will

render you liable for cancellation of your candidature and disqualification of
commission in case detected subsequently.

5. Documents. You will bring along the following documents at the time of reporting for
interview:-
(a) Original along with one self attested copy of matriculation Passing Certificate or
equivalent certificate for proof of date of birth. Admit card/ Marksheets/ Transfer/ Leaving
Certificate are not acceptable for proof of date of birth.

(b) Original along with one copy of 12th Class Marksheet & Passing Certificate or
equivalent in support of educational qualification.

(c) One copy of UPSC Admit Card.

(d) Candidates Who Have Submitted Their Certificates and Mark Sheets in College
or Institution for Pursuing Higher Studies. Please bring a bonafide certificate along
with certified true copy of those documents as per specimen attached at Appendix ‘B’.

(e) 12th class appearing candidates are required to bring certificate from their college/
school as per format attached at Appendix ‘C’ and self Declaration as per Appendix ‘D’.
(f) Risk Certificate as per Appendix ‘E’.
(g) Certificate for not having duplicate profiles/registration IDs as per Appendix ‘F’.
(h) Candidates are required to bring all certificates in original. Originals will be returned
after verification at the Service Selection Board itself. Any candidate who does not carry
these entire documents for the SSB interview, will not be allowed to go through the
selection procedures.
(j) Proof of Identity. Proof of identity with photograph such as voter ID (or) PAN
card (or) driving license (or) passport or Aadhar Card are acceptable.

(k) Certificate of Previous Candidature / SSB Attempt. Format is attached as

Appendix - ‘G’.

(l) Undertaking Certificate by Candidate Prior to Undergoing SSB. Format is

attached as Appendix - ‘K’.

6. The Acceptable Date of Birth. Only unmarried male & female candidates born not
earlier than 02nd Jan 2004 and not later than 01st Jan 2007 are eligible. Further please refer to
Page 5, Para 3(b)of UPSC Examination Notice No. 10/2022-NDA-II dt 18 May 2022.

7. Applicable for Service Candidates Only. SERVICE CANDIDATES WILL BE

PERMITTED FOR THEIR SSB INTERVIEW ONLY ON MOVEMENT ORDER AND NOC ISSUED
BY COMMANDING OFFICER.

8. Those Candidates who have yet to Qualify in the 12th Class or Equivalent
Examination and are Allowed to Appear in the UPSC Examination. Refer to Page 7, Note 2
of Para 3 (c) of UPSC Examination Notice No. 10/2022-NDA-II dt 18 May 2022.

9. Permanent Body Tattoo (s).

(a) Only small innocuous permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of
forearm i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm / back (dorsal)
side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and
candidates will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoo marks on the face or body as
per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis.

(i) Documents Required to be Submitted. In case of permissible tattoos, under

mentioned Appendices to DG Recruiting ‘Tattoo Policy for candidates appearing for SSB
Interview with Permanent Body Tattoos’ are required to be submitted for being allowed to
continue with selection process :-

(i) Tribal Communities. Appendix A & B. Formats attached as Exhibit I &II.

(ii) Non Tribal Communities. Appendix D. Format attached as Exhibit III.

(j) Please refer detailed Policy on permanent body tattoo available at web-link

10. Special Instructions : Variations in Personal Particulars. Candidates MUST

thoroughly scrutinise all requisite Certificates and documents, including the Online Application/
UPSC Admit Card to check if there is any variation in the personal particulars – Candidate’s Name
& Parents Name from document to document. In case of minor variations also (Eg :- Initials in name,
spelling mistakes, suffixing of middle name / surname etc), the candidates are required to submit an
Affidavit stating the variations in the personal particulars in specific documents and corrective actions
taken thereto (to be elaborated in details). Following aspects be kept in mind while preparing the
Affidavit :-

(k) The personal particulars – Candidate’s Name & Parents Name as contained in
Matriculation or Equivalent Certificate only will be acceptable.

(l) Due care be taken to address all the variations without leaving any scope for
interpretations/ assumptions whatsoever of such variations from document to document . In
absence of correct affidavit, the candidate will be returned back without entertaining any
representations.

Note 1:- Candidates declared successful in the SSB interview are required to submit at
the earliest a photocopy duly self attested of all such provisional degree/degree certificate
acquired after the SSB interview to Directorate General of Recruiting, New Delhi.

Note 2 :- Candidates are further advised that documents already verified at the
Selection Centre need not be submitted again to IHQ MoD (Army). In case of loss of such
documents, the onus will entirely rest upon the candidate.

Instruction for Attention of Candidates

11. Testing Procedure at SSB. This will be conducted over five days including the day
of arrival, in two stages :-

(m) Stage I. The Stage I testing shall commence at 07:00AM on the first day and will
comprise of an Intelligence Test and a Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT).

(n) In case of your rejection in Stage I, you shall be returned from the Centre in the
afternoon of the same day.

(o) Stage II. The Stage II tests comprises of Psychological Tests, Group Test I & II
and Interview for the next four days.

12. Compensation. Government is not responsible for any compensation to the candidates or
to their guardians/ heirs for injuries sustained by them during the period of testing or while using
military transport.

13. Travelling Allowance (TA). Refer to Page No. 13, Para 7 of UPSC Examination Notice
No. 10/2022-NDA-II dt 18 May 2022. In addition to above, candidates will submit the following:-

(a) You are authorized to travel by AC III Tier / AC Chair Car for the shortest route, TA
will be paid as per defence travel rule.

(b) No re-imbursement of TA will be permitted in the absence of hard copy of ticket.

(c) You are entitled for TA when you attend the interview for a permanent commission/ short
service commission for the first time in defence services. Such allowance is not admissible
for second or subsequent attempts for the same type of commission.

(d) Re-imbursement of TA will be electronic transfer to your Bank Account through

NEFT. You are advised to carry sufficient amount in cash for your return journey and
personal expenses during your stay at Selection Centre East, Allahabad. TA to eligible
candidate will be paid through direct bank transfer and therefore the onus for providing
correct details rests with the candidate. SCE will not be responsible for non transfer of TA
due to incorrect details.

(e) Candidates are requested to give details of travel and bank details (Acct No, Bank Name,
IFSC Code No, Bank Code No., Branch Name, Address & Beneficiary name) for claiming
remittance of TA as per format at Appendix ‘H’. Candidates are requested to bring one cancelled
cheque of the account number.

(f) Centre will not take any responsibility of non-remittance of authorised TA

amount for any incomplete/ incorrect or any related discrepancies in the bank details
provided by the candidates.

14. Use of Concession Form. Utilisation of any concession from (Defence or any other
department) will make candidates ineligible for TA.

15. Testing. Refer to Page No. 16, Para 9 of UPSC Examination Notice No10/2022-NDA-II dt
18 May 2022.

16. Medical Examination. Candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will
undergo a medical examination by Board of Service Medical Officers. Only those candidates will
be admitted to the academy who are declared fit by the Medical board. The details for the same
are available at official website of Directorate General Recruiting www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

17. Physical Conditioning. Refer to Appendix IV, Page 31, UPSC Examination Notice No.
10/2022-NDA-II dt 18 May 2022.

18. Administrative Instructions. Following administrative instructions are laid down for
Candidates guidance and strict compliance :-

(a) Cash and Valuables. ATM facility is available inside the Selection Centre premises,
carry cash accordingly. No valuables to be carried. Safe custody of cash and valuables will
be the responsibility of the candidates.

(b) No out pass for candidates during the SSB is permitted. Candidates are advised to
bring required belongings and documents at the time of reporting only.

(c) Candidates will strictly adhere to laid down timings at all places.

(d) Testing areas before/ after testing hours is OUT OF BOUNDS for all candidates.

(e) The conduct of the candidates in the Selection Centre will be highly courteous.

(f) Mobile phones of candidates recommended for stage 2 will be deposited on

complete duration of their assessment.

(g) Any contravention of above orders / any act of indiscipline/ malpractices or cheating
during testing will invite immediate cancellation of candidature. Cases of serious breach of
discipline and conduct will be handed over to civil police and FIR registered accordingly.

(h) Candidates must book their return journey tickets in advance to avoid any
inconvenience while leaving the Selection Centre on the same day after declaration of
result of Stg-I/ Stg-II/ Medical (SMB) by 1800hrs/ 06:00PM.
