Sebuah poster tentang kesan merokok dijumpai di sebuah pasaraya tempatan.
A poster on the effects of smoking is found in a local shopping mall.

Merokok merosakkan hampir semua organ dalam badan dan menjejaskan kesihatan manusia.
Asap rokok mengandungi bahan kimia yang berbahaya terhadap manusia. Sekumpulan saintis
telah menjalankan kajian tentang kesan asap rokok terhadap kesihatan manusia dan memberi
beberapa dapatan:
Smoking damages nearly every organ of the body and destroys a person’s health. Cigarettes
smoke contains chemicals that are harmful to humans. A group of scientists carried out research
on the effects of cigarettes smoke on human’s health and came out with few findings:

- Nikotin menyebabkan ketagihan dan merosakkan tisu otak


Nicotine causes addiction and damages the brain tissues

- Nikotin menyebabkan dinding arteri menjadi keras

- Bahan berasid menyebabkan kanser peparu dan emfisema


Acidic substances cause lung cancer and emphysema

(a) Seorang perempuan mengandung mengambil keputusan untuk berhenti merokok setelah
melihat poster tersebut. Adakah anda bersetuju dengan keputusannya? Wajarkan
pandangan anda berserta bukti untuk menyokongnya.
A pregnant woman decides to stop smoking after seeing the poster. Do you agree with her

Smoking is major risk factor for heart diseases. The effects can be serious when
combined with other risk factors such as unhealthy eating habits. The diagram below
shows a smoker enjoying fast food in a restaurant. Explain the negative impacts that will
occur in the long term if this habit is prolonged.

Vena kava membawa darah terdeoksigen dari seluruh anggota badan ke atrium kanan. Dinding
atrium kanan mengecut dan menolak darah melalui injap trikuspid ke dalam ventrikel kanan.
Dinding ventrikel kanan mengecut dan menolak darah melalui injap sabit ke arteri pulmonari
terus ke peparu. Karbon dioksida meresap keluar dan oksigen meresap masuk ke dalam darah di
dalam peparu. Darah beroksigen dari peparu memasuki atrium kiri melalui vena pulmonari.
Dinding atrium kiri mengecut dan menolak darah melalui injap bikuspid ke dalam ventrikel kiri.
Dinding ventrikel kiri mengecut dan menolak darah melalui injap sabit ke aorta. Aorta membawa
darah beroksigen kembali ke seluruh anggota badan.

The vena cava carries deoxygenated blood from the body into the right atrium. The wall of the
right atrium contracts and pushes blood through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. The
wall of the right ventricle contracts and pushes blood through the semilunar valve into the
pulmonary artery directly to the lungs. Carbon dioxide diffuses out and oxygen diffuses into the
blood in the lungs. Oxygenated blood from the lungs enters the left atrium through the
pulmonary veins. The wall of the left atrium contracts and pushes blood through the bicuspid
valve into the left ventricle. The wall of the left ventricle contracts and pushes blood through the
semilunar valve into the aorta. The aorta carries oxygenated blood back to the rest of the body.

to the skin, giving the skin a healthy flush. The sweat glands start releasing moisture to
protect from overheating.

Sperma di dalam semen akan dipindahkan ke dalam faraj melalui serviks ke uterus. Sperma
kemudiannya akan berenang ke tiub fallopio. Persenyawaan akan berlaku untuk membentuk
zigot. Zigot akan melalui pembahagian sel untuk membentuk embrio.
The sperms in the semen of the male are transferred into the vagina through the cervix into the
uterus. The sperms will swim to the fallopian tube. Fertilisation takes place when the nucleus of
a sperm fuses with the nucleus of an ovum to produce a zygote. The zygote undergoes cell
division to become embryo.

bersaiz biasa mempunyai antara 30 hingga 35 bilion sel-sel lemak. Apabila berat

meningkat. Satu paun lemak badan mewakili kira-kira 3500 kalori. Kebanyakan
orang di negara-negara maju mengalami berat badan berlebihan atau obes.

Obesity is an increasingly prevalent metabolic disorder and it has become a


worldwide health issue. By definition, obesity is a surplus of body fat that commonly
results in a momentous damage of health. Obesity results when the size or number of
fat cells in a person’s body increases. A normal-sized person has between 30 to35
billion fat cells. When a person gains weight,

later in number. One pound of body fat represents about 3500 calories. The majority
of people are either overweight or obese in developed countries.

Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 space probes are explored our Solar System since its launch in 1977 In
August 2012; the Voyager 1 has left our Solar System and entering the space. Voyager 2 also
reaches out into space. Voyagers 1 and 2 have sent many images stars, planets and galaxies
found on Earth since its launch. One of the stars that have been observed by the Voyager is the
star Rigel is a blue super giant galaxies in Orion. Voyager also has observed a neutron star in
Orion.

Astronomi merupakan cabang sains yang melibatkan pembelajaran jasad cakerawala seperti
bintang, planet, komet-komet, nebula, gugusan bintang dan galaksi. Era awal penerokaan
angkasa didorong oleh ‘Perlumbaan Angkasa’ di antara Kesatuan Soviet dan Amerika Syarikat
iaitu pelancaran objek buatan manusia pertama yang mengelilingi Bumi, USSR Sputnik 1, pada
4 Oktober 1957, dan pendaratan di Bulan yang pertama oleh kapal Apollo 11 Amerika pada 20
Julai 1969. Pada 10 Oktober 2007, Malaysia telah melancarkan detik bersejarah dengan
menghantar angkasawan Malaysia pertama iaitu Datuk Sheikh Muzaffar ke angkasa lepas
dengan kapal angkasa Rusia. Dengan penjelajahan tersebut, kita dapat memahami dengan lebih
mendalam berkenaan alam semesta. Banyak faedah yang diperolehi daripada penerokaan
angkasa lepas membantu meningkatkan kualiti kehidupan di Bumi.

Astronomy is a natural science which is the study of celestial objects such as stars, galaxies,
planets, moons, and nebulae. The early era of space exploration was driven by a “Space Race”
between the Soviet Union and the United States, the launch of the first man-made object to orbit
the Earth, the USSR’s Sputnik 1, on 4 October 1957, and the first Moon landing by the American
Apollo 11 craft on 20 July 1969. On 10 October 2007, Malaysia had created on astonishing
history by sending Malaysia’s first astronaut, Datuk Sheikh Muzaffar into space with Russia’s
spaceship. The space exploration can make us understand more about the universe. A lot of
benefits can be gained by exploring the space thus helps in improving the quality of life on
Earth.
