“Security risk in a Digital World. How to manage security risk?”

Introduction

In a Modern world protection of data against security risk is essential. Many organizations depend on use of data in day to
day work. Due to this reason they need to make sure that all their information are properly protected. Organizations with a
big number of users are especially vulnerable. In the times of digitalization it is very important that the organizations and
individuals take the security risk very seriously. Protecting information from potential risk offers to organizations a better
performance as most individuals would prefer to do business with them.

Therefore the main research question of this paper will be:

How to reduce security risk to an acceptable level?

To answer this research question triangulation method of research was used. Primary and secondary data was gathered and
evaluated from several different databases. Main part of this paper looks at background work done to improve security risk as
well as focusing on current organizations security problems and risks. Follows by a presentation of research results and
summary of possible ways to reduce the security risk.
