My Name is Daniel Morais and I’m a resident of Colombo, Sri-Lanka. My parents are, Mr.

Neranjan
Morais, a general manager overseeing two hotels at Uga Escapes and Mrs. Sandra Morais who is a stay-
at-home mum. I am a dedicated and goal-oriented individual who thrives as a leader and motivator and
in addition has great interest and competence in the fields of technology, gaming and music. I can work
under minimum supervision and has excellent communication skills, allowing me to communicate,
present, and negotiate with a wide spectrum of people. Further I have a strong affinity to sports such as
badminton and volleyball which I continue to engage with regularly.

I hold a diploma in science from Monash university, which I completed at UCL Sri-Lanka, which was
completed following the foundation program in Monash college, in which I received a global prize for
English Unit 1. This was completed between the years 2020 to 2021. I enrolled in the foundation
program after completing my GCESE Cambridge Ordinary levels in 2019. I am currently doing another
diploma in international hospitality and tourism management, which ends on December of 2022.

Following my exit from school after the completion of my ordinary levels, I pursued a small interest of
mine i.e., advanced computer sciences for a period of two months and worked as an intern in the
cybersecurity department at Ernst and Young. Additionally, After the completion of my diploma, I
worked as a trainee chef at Green Cabin Sri Lanka, where I became proficient in various skills in the
culinary industry.

Australia is one of the best places for an international student to study, owing to both its rich cultural
diversity making it easy for various individuals from a multitude of backgrounds to interact and learn
from each other and the fact that the educational system is very advanced. Melbourne consists of a very
diverse population and is a city that consists of the best universities in addition to having a travel
friendly environment and a incredible sporting calendar with the Grand Prix and the Melbourne cup.
Making the city and very exciting place to study in.
