 Reaction Paper about International Counter-Terrorism Legal Framework

Terrorism is a threat to everyone, to our society, especially the security of every

individual because of their political aims they are eager to use intentional violence just to satisfy

and achieve their aims without considering the affected innocent individual.

Terrorism alters economic behavior, primarily by changing investment and consumption

patterns as well as diverting public and private resources away from productive activities and

towards protective measures, I believe that it is a warning to everybody that We as a member

of the society we have to be vigilant, serious and cooperate with the proper authorities, the

downfall of our country is the downfall also of everybody.

Terrorist acts can cause ripple effects through the economy that have negative impacts.

The most obvious is the direct economic destruction of property and lives. It is a great help to

citizens that our government and international organization initiated and founded a certain

organization to counter-terrorism, because it focuses on improving awareness of the threat,

developing capabilities to prepare and respond, and enhancing engagement with partner

countries and other international actors

We can’t please everyone and we can’t deny that there are Individuals and groups

choose terrorism as a tactic because it can Act as a form of asymmetric warfare in order to

directly force a government to agree to demands. Intimidate a group of people into capitulating

to the demands in order to avoid future injury, but it’s not too late its our responsibility to

educate ourselves, help our families and friends who have no idea about terrorism, help them

to strengthen their beliefs, their stand about terrorism.

 Reaction Paper about Special Investigative Techniques, Surveillance and Interception
of Communication

Investigation is a method by which crimes are studied and criminals

apprehended. The criminal investigator seeks to ascertain the methods, motives, and identities

of criminals and the identity of victims and may also search for and interrogate witnesses which

is very useful in the field of investigation. Investigation itself is a complex and a difficult duty

of an investigator that’s why having special investigative techniques help to be more efficient

and effective. Surveillance is very useful, tend to deter crime, investigate crimes and policy

violations and identify involved parties, through surveillance the proper authority can obtain

evidence of crime, obtain evidence of any illegal act, to document individual’s location,

activities and able to obtain significant information.

During this time of pandemic having devices installed in a different installation

just like CCTV, I believe it really helps a lot, especially during the implementation of ECQ in

which most of the Police were deployed in every boundary of every municipality or province

in which some areas weren’t monitored because we have to consider the number of our law

enforcers today, by having that kind of instrument is helpful because it can be used for future

reference or evidence if there is an occurrence of crime that no one is there.

During the investigation in which apprehending and solving crimes is very important

the advancement of technology is very significant since it is easier, faster and more effective

communication if there are operations, less wastage, the ability to develop new and innovative

approaches. It is very important also that our government will give and compete with the other

country in terms of advancement of technology because today not only the ordinary people and

the government are improving, we have to consider also that even criminals are upgrading their

techniques, strategy and approach just to accomplished the commission of crime.
