VTR TC Clearances

Dimensions K, K1, K2, Clearances L and M


Measuring of the clearances during disassembly

- S c r e w t h e e x t r a c t o r d e v i c e ( 9 0 0 7 0 ) o n t o t h e i n n e r bearing bush (CE) and


pull out the bearing for about 5-6mm.

- P u s h t h e r o t o r t o w a r d s t h e c o m p r e s s o r . - M e a s u r e d i m e n s i o n K1
(see fig.).

-Pull the rotor towards the turbine.

- M e a s u r e d i m e n s i o n K2 (see fig.).

Calculate the clearances L and M according to the below mentioned formulae.

- P u s h t h e r o t o r t o w a r d s t h e c o m p r e s s o r . - M e a s u r e d i m e n s i o n K1
(see fig. 5-13/1).

-Pull the rotor towards the turbine.

- M e a s u r e d i m e n s i o n K2 (see fig.)

-Press the bearing (32100) and centrifuge (32150)withthe shaft end nut(32151)andthebox
spanner(90050) as far as the stop at the shaft shoulder.(see fig. 5-11/3).

-Fix the bearing (32100) with the two screws set at180° and locking rings (76021/76022).

- M e a s u r e d i m e n s i o n K ( s e e f i g . ) a n d compare it with the value


measured during the d i s a s s e m b l y p r o c e d u r e a n d / o r g i v e n i n
t h e compressor end bearing space cover.

Calculate the clearances L and M according to:

- L = K - K1

- M = K2 – K

- T h e c l e a r a n c e s L a n d M m u s t b e w i t h i n t h e tolerances given in the


following table:
