    Francisco Bolognesi was born in Lima on November 4, 1816. He was a Peruvian military.

    During the Pacific War at the age of 62 he requested his reinstatement in the army as head

    of the 3rd division in the south. He stood out in the battles of San Francisco and Tarapaca

    where he bravely fought the Chilean army.

    he finally died on June 7 in the battle of Aria facing the Chilean forces. He is now considered

    one of the most renowned Peruvian heroes, in addition to his famous phrase "I have sacred

    duties to fulfill and I will fulfill them until I burn the last cartridge"...
