GUIDE TO MAKING $500/DAY!

I will begin by saying that Window Cleaning is an easy job, but it’s hard work. This is not a get rich
quick scheme. Your attitude and work ethic play a major role here. I’m excited for your

More buildings and houses are constantly being built, which means there are more windows that

WHO IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?

Because you are starting at ground zero, you are going to pursue very specific customers. I want
to encourage you to not discount small beginnings. Every success story starts from the ground.
The sky is the limit, and I want to help you reach it!

So who is your ideal customer? For starting out with the tools that you purchase, you will pursue:
Storefronts, Coffee Shops, and Restaurants. These types of jobs don’t require tall ladders and big
trucks. You can show up if your sedan and do the job and leave with a happy customer.

Because of the limited equipment you possess, cleaning storefronts windows is

easy and many times you don’t even need a pole. You are starting with a small
budget, so you need to start with what you can reach.

If you’re just starting out, you might not have a lot of practice. Residential
customers tend to be a bit more specific about the way their windows look, so in
order to not constantly get called back, sticking with commercial properties is the
best route for beginners.

Many times managers and business owners will want a monthly service. This is
ideal for you because you can build your customer list and not have to wait for
the phone to ring because you will have services already scheduled every month!
WHAT IS YOUR STRATEGY FOR
GETTING THESE CUSTOMERS?
• Walk in cold turkey-
That’s right. If you want to get “in there”, you need to put yourself “out there”. I know walking in cold
turkey can be intimidating, but you’re the professional. Be confident and courteous when asking to
talk to the manager.

• Be a customer to your potential customer- • Offer a sample-

Do you have a favorite coffee shop in which I normally don’t like doing things for free, but
you hang out regularly? Does the barista you can always clean the windows for free
know your face and/or your name? and leave a business card.

I have done this before. I regularly go into a If the manager sees what a major difference
specific Starbucks & sometimes (depending it made with you cleaning their windows, they
on who is working) already knows my order. maybe impressed enough to want their glass
All you gotta do is ask! looking like that all the time and they will
request a monthly service.
HOW WILL YOU CHARGE?
Commercial properties can be a bit tricky because the way business owners value clean windows
isn’t uniform. For large panes, you can easily charge $6/per pane. (Remember to double that if
you’re doing both exterior and interior) For smaller panes, $4. When giving someone a bid,
REMEMBER WHAT YOU’RE WORTH!” Your time is valuable, so don’t short-change yourself, or you
can easily end up feeling taken advantage of.

You want to set yourself up for making roughly $75/hr. Some places will take you 30min, and
some will take you a couple hours. The trick is to maintain making $75/hr.

QUICK MATH- So, you do need to figure in drive time, and different
Let’s Imagine: days that customers want their windows cleaned.

• 10 storefronts on average pay $100 But if you strategize well, & have a focused location,
• Each store takes you 1hr what takes an average day worker a week to make,
