language skills? With 7 different levels ranging from begin-
ner to advanced, this full-time intensive French program
will help you develop or perfect your ability to read, write,
speak, and understand French through daily classes and
conversation workshops.

Location and Facilities


The Intensive French program is offered in beautiful Quebec City, a UNESCO
World Heritage site, and the only major city in Canada that offers a 100%
French-speaking environment. As the cradle of francophone culture in the
Americas, Quebec City offers an unparalleled opportunity for French immersion.

The school is centrally located on the Collège Mérici campus in downtown


Quebec City, close to major tourist and cultural attractions. On-site facilities
include a gymnasium, aerobics room, library, computer labs, an internet cafe,
cafeteria, a student lounge and ample green spaces

Intensive French Program Features
yy 15 hours of Core French classes per week
yy 7.5 hours of French conversation workshops per week
(10 hours per week during summer session)
yy 7 levels of instruction from beginner to advanced, based on
the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
yy Flexible start dates and program duration
yy Our classrooms have between 5 to 15 students
yy Optional activities every afternoon and excursions on weekends
yy Homestay, residence or furnished apartment accommodation options

The Intensive French program is a 22.5-hour per week language course (25 hours
per week during the summer session) that follows international standards and
focuses on developing reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension in French
for students of all levels and abilities. The content of this course will help you
prepare for recognized exams such as the DELF, DALF, TCF and TFI.

Spend your mornings taking comprehensive French classes, and in the after-
noon, develop your oral fluency through conversation workshops, discussing
themes related to culture, current events, literature, cinema or music.

Daily Schedule (Monday to Friday)


From August 6 th 2018 to May 24th 2019

8:00 am – 11:00 am Core French

11:30 am – 1:00 pm Conversation Workshop

From May 27 th to August 2nd 2019

9:00 am – 12:00 pm Core French

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Conversation Workshop

Requirements
yy Minimum 16 years of age at the start of the program
yy Foreign students must meet Canadian visa requirements
yy Foreign students must have travel and health insurance
Start Dates for the duration of the program
You can start on any Monday of the year!

If a holiday falls on a Monday, the course will


start on the Tuesday. From September 2018 to
August 2019, the school will be closed on the Registration
following dates:
