B. Deskripsi Singkat
Mata ajaran ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan muneulnya suatu kota dengan pendekatan
ekonomi. Pembahasan juga berkaitan dengan berbagai masalah dan kebijakan perkotaan
seperti sektor publik, urbanisasi, kemiskinan, perumahan, pengangkutan dan kemaeetan.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam mata ajar ini adalah diawali dengan metode kualitatif
(teori dasar) dan diperdalam dengan metode grafis-geographical, dan empiris pada setiap
topik bahasan. Untuk itu pengetahuan tentang ilmu tata ruang dan ekonomi publik
diperlukan untuk dapat mengikuti mata ajaran ini.
