LIKE + … ING

What do you like doing in your free time?

I like watching tv

I like singing

I hate playing football

I don’t like reading

I dislike going to the beach

My sister likes going shopping

Can you bring other examples using the structure?

Possessive form –

to avoid saying long sentences by omitting the preposition and the article and adding (s’ or ‘s)

E.g. The daughter of the king (owner) – King’s daughter

This is the book of the teacher – This is the teacher’s book

The dolls of the girls – the girls’ dolls

Jesus is the son of God – Jesus is God’s son

The bar of Tania – Tania’s bar

The day of the women – The women’s day

Note:

For thing we do not use (s’ or ‘s)

E.g. The bus of the school – the school bus

The clock of the wall - the wall clock
